Sad to see EMH drop out and thanks for Coaster to extending the invite to Alpine I have been busy with my internship and did not check the thread until now. Also Coaster why don't you consider joining one of the yahoo leagues? The AL certainly could use you back. Here is an idea tell me what you guys think, people post a quick recruiting thread in misc pointing to this thread? maybe a general recruiting thread for both the NCAA and Baseball leagues?

Here's the deal. The way things are now, I think I can stick around for either or both leagues. Unless it's too late, which is fine, I caused the trouble and I'll pay the consequences. However, there is a possibility of me leaving late in the season (or I can just set things in position at that point or whatever since my team will probably be set and suck...).

Up to you. I can only speak for the Yahoo NL league, but since we're at 12 players with you, I'd prefer that you stay, if you think you can stay with it.
As for the Keeper league, tougher choice. Really need to stay on top of that one. If there's a replacement lined up long-term, that may be better if your time committment is going to be a problem...

With the ESPN league, if Emh might be leaving part-way through the season, it would probably be better if Alpinemaps took over now before the season started and can control the draft.

Sounds fair. I'll keep Yahoo and relinquish ESPN to Alpinemaps.
That's good news. I hope it's a good season and I'm looking forward to it. I still hate the fact that I'm playing you the first week. Talk about a confidence shot right there. So much for the rest of the season.

I have a friend who is interested in playing in the NL, if we're still looking to add people. He's a non-Trek guy, but loves Fantasy Baseball, so he'll be a great addition.

Well, the deadline has passed for selecting keepers and everyone's selections are showing on the team pages. Most of everyone's keepers are obvious selections. I've noticed that two teams though, haven't decided to make 6 selections: The Cardassia Spoonheads with 5 and Alpinemaps with only 2

That will make an interesting first couple of rounds for Alpinemaps - free reign of players from rounds 2-6!
It looks like teams are fairly well balanced too (except for your team, Scout, which is head and shoulders above everyone else's
), and it looks like the draft will be the big difference this year...

I agree that I'm definitely in a strong starting spot, but I wouldn't count Coaster out just yet, he's got a strong starting position himself.
Funny to look through some of the keeper's lists. Was talking with Sportzkid about it last night, definitely a couple teams with a questionable choice or two, keeping the wrong guy, or keeping too many, etc. Will be fun to see how the draft goes now that keepers are selected. Ought to make for interesting times, as everyone has totally different needs right now. Some teams went pitching-heavy with the keepers, one team didn't keep ANY pitchers, etc.

Yeah, I was hoping to have a high draft pick and it looks like I will. (I'm the manager of Cardassia Spoonheads).
