Trek XI teaser already in the works?

Latino Review has heard a rumor that a teaser is already being worked on. If true, the basic idea it mentions sounds reasonably promising...

Hmmmm.... Parts of the teaser have been shot, but principle photography doesn't start until next week. This leads me to the conclusion that the teaser will be made from scenes made exclusively for it, and which won't be in the movie.

Well, it's quite possible, and even probable, that they've been working on effects shots for a while now. They had to have been working on a lot of material in pre-production if they're planning on rolling the film in a little over a year, so there should at least be some test scenes to cobble together for a teaser.

I mean, heck, the "Dark Knight" teaser was nothing but some audio layered over a moving logo, and that generated some buzz.
I bet we get a quickie teaser for the 'Christmas '07' movies. THAT would be cool - hopefully there'll be a movie worthing watching then .

I agree but if PTM has it on trekmovie it holds more validity to me. The big E under construction, sweet.

With CGI footage already done for so many remastered TOS episodes, and Nimoy hyping it for so long now, I'm hoping that we'll see a short teaser with a tag line from older Spock for the theatre release of "The Managerie" later this month.

I remember people saying that about the Transformers teaser last year, and that did end up in the movie.

If they plan on haveing a teaser for Star Trek 2008 with "Cloverfield" then they better be putting something together right about now.

They in this case being Paramount & ILM.
