Trek writers original works

The late Mack Reynolds, the author of the first Star Trek novel, Mission to Horatius, had had his public domain short fiction collected by Standard Ebooks, and it's a free download. (Link here.) The volunteers who work on Standard Ebooks do a really good job; I've paid for ebooks that aren't half as professionally done as their free ebooks.

I've never read anything by Reynolds other than Mission to Horatius, so I'll give this collection (a quarter of a million words!) a look. Thought others might be interested, too.

I'm new here so I don't know if this has been brought up in this thread before. I would love to see Trek authors collaborate on their own shared universe, be it science fiction or fantasy. I love science fiction and have read many of the old classic(Herbert, Asimov, Foster) and the new classic( Reynolds, Hamilton, Simmons) but the most enjoyment I get is from reading Trek and some Star Wars novels. My favorite authors all write Star Trek and I can only imagine what would happen if they created their own shared universe.

That might have been Tales of the Scattered Earth. I know KRAD and David Niall Wilson and Aaron Rosenberg contributed a few novels to support it. It had an interesting premise combining science fiction and steampunkish fantasy, where each separate series of stories would someday converge. Oh, yeah, a multiverse, too! I remember reading that several novels were planned but I only saw a few. I liked what I read( especially KRAD 's) and would have liked to see where it would have gone.

I've been meaning to branch out in my genre reading beyond Star Trek, Doctor Who, X-Men & Jenette Kahn/Karen Berger/Paul Levitz era DC & Vertigo and figured that would be a good place to start. Dude's fucking phenomenal at finding and cultivating talent.

I'm not aware of anything for sure, no.
One possibility you didn't have on you list that I know of is "Hell Rode With Her", a short story from David Mack's Dark Arts series. I'm assuming since the novels were edited by Marco that probably was too.

In addition to Tales of the Scattered Earth, several Trek novelists have contributed to a couple of shared-world anthology series published by Crazy 8 Press: ReDeus and Pangaea.
