Hi guys
just seen toys.there is a romulan ship gold in colour and is
organic and squid like.I was suprised how faithful it is to the original series.spock had grey hair.kirk was in a red skin tight jumpsuit,there was also a figure of kirk in st tos gold v neck,bridge was same layout as previous incarnations,was gold metalic in colour,best character was nero in a purlple jumpsuit,kind of reminded me of alex ramond flash gordon style characters.phasers are exactly the same,uhura very sexy with mini skirt and boots.
1701 absolutely gorgeous,a mix of tv and movie enterprise,warp nacelles more aero dynamic,rest of ship exactly the same.there was a pike figure,still cant get over how much like the original series the feel is,crew in same attire as 60s tv show,there is going to be a 4inch range and 7 inch range,great stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Romulan ship that is organic and squid-like? That seems VERY odd to me, but it could perhaps be whatever ship or device is used to travel back into time? Provided of course this poster is telling the truth. I'm really surprised pictures have leaked out about these toys yet.

To be fair, he never said anything about seeing pictures. He's probably a Toy Fair attendee and saw them on display. I doubt Playmates is allowing pictures to be taken.

I kind of want to believe, but the above quote brings me pause. They have said several times that uniforms would be different, Crawley (sp?) said they were different, and the two photos we have seen are indicative of such.

I don't think he's lying.. but he's liking syncing the toys with the MEMORY of the TOS costumes - or, more possibly, Playmates is going to do TOS 'original theme' toys as well.

HI ITS DEBUSH AGAIN,IAM NOT WINDING ANY ONE UP,THIS HAS BEEN THE 1ST TIME IVE EVER POSTED IN MY LIFE,I JUST WANTED TO SHARE WHAT I HAVE SEEN,THE GUY SHOWING ME AROUND STATED THAT THEY ARE PROTOS,THINGS COULD CHANGE,COSTUMES WE HAVE SEEN SO FAR ARE BACK GROUND CHARACTORS,CHRIS PINES RED OUTFIT WAS AMONGST THE RANGE.PLAYMATES HAVE GONE ALL OUT ON THIS ONE.ONLY SPENT LESS THAN 5 MINS IN THE SHOW ROOM,BUT AS I SAY FROM THE DESIGNS WE ARE IN FOR A TREAT.ONES THAT STAND OUT WAS NERO,OLD SPOCK AND KIRK IN RED JUMPSUIT,THINK OF SCHWARZENEGGERS RUNNING MAN OUTFIT BUT IN RED,ALSO THE INSIGIA ON CHEST WAS NOT USUAL STARFLEET LOGO BUT 4 TRIANGLES ALL POINTING TO EACHOTHER.ALSO ST TOS RED STRIP ALONG SIDE WARP NACELLES BUT WAS MISSING ORANGE GLOW BITS IN FRONT,MAYBE ADDED LATER?

yes sorry about that!there was also role play spock ears,a tricorder and phaser,and transporter room for the 4 inch range,the bridge was not finished but has kirk in the middle and view screen,with a chapagne metalic colour finish around the consoles.spock looked really old but awsome,kirks spacesuit looked semi retro but with alot more detail.debush!

They weren't allowing pictures at Hong Kong Toy Fair, or British Toy Fair, so, there you go.

He's more or less describing in greater detail what is in this article from UK Toy Fair: Action-figure Herein, the uniforms are desribed as rather faithful to the 60s show. So, I pretty much believe him.

The thing about the costuming that bothers me is we don't know why Cawley doesn't like them. He just said it isn't what he'd do. Did they use Spandex instead of velour? Are they muted colors? Too shiny? What?

Sounds more like a Vorlon ship than a Romulan one (especially TOS Romulan). Interesting, though.

I thought Cawley said they were "perfect". I got the impression he liked them.
