Barney Miller needed a crazy ranting civilian thratening to blow himself up for the episode "Doomsday," so who better than William Windom, who'd already been in a Trek episode with Doomsday in the title where he blew himself up?

The voice of the Zuni doll in "Trilogy of Terror" was Walker Edmiston who also voiced the dummy head alter ego of Balok. (edit correction as per below: it was Edmiston who dubbed over Clint Howards voice)
Watched that last night on Svengoolie. Without looking at the credits, I would have guessed it was Frank Welker doing the voice.

If I wanted to stay strictly on topic, I could just mention that Jason Wingreen was in "Love and Wishing Star," one of the segments of the October 6, 1972, episode of Love, American Style. But there was a much more interesting Trek find in "Love and the New You," starring Cass Elliot and Shecky Greene. Get a load of the groovy threads that somebody dug up in wardrobe:
Vic Perrin guested on Have Gun - Will Travel five times (according to IMDB) as various characters. The last ("Everyman" 1961) was as a town drunk who Paladin saves from some bar toughs, and who repays the favor in the nick of time later. It was definitely Vic taking the bottle-smash to the head (you could see his face clearly). I'm assuming it was Hal Needham doing the smashing, but that's just a guess. It was a bit of a melee.
