Trek guest actors in maybe surprising roles

same episode above
Green and Kirk have a conversion in the steam room!

However when Green (mob heavy) wants to kill Kirk's wife as she found out his Chicago mob past (Kirk is a politician running for Governor), he can't let that happen and kills Green but also gets shot and killed in the process.

P.S. this episode also starred Yvonne Craig in that green dress earlier post.

Ok those eyes are a close up shot seen in the show of Nancy Mehta/Nona from Mannix "The Inside Man" 1972, the same episode also stars

Apparently J. Duke Russo is the same guy as Barry Russo (Devil in the Dark, The Ultimate Computer). The damn thing is, I just noticed that Barry Russo has no Wikipedia page.

Looks like birth name is John Russo, but most of his pre-1965 screen credits are as "John Duke". The "J. Duke Russo" (sometimes "John Duke Russo") credit was used for appearances 1971 and later. For a few years in between he was "Barry" and one time "Harry".

The damn thing is, I just noticed that Barry Russo has no Wikipedia page.
He has one in German.

The "Shat" is in the pole position on this morning's episode of 'Match Game 75' on Buzzr. With a much better toupee than the one in the Mannix episode.

That popinjay Fox (Gene Lyons) pops up in the Have Gun - episode "The Road." He plays the leader of a group of Rocky Mountain scavengers who prey upon hard-luck gold miners. He really likes hats.

Hal Needham is still there, as one of his gang, tho no elaborate stunts this ep.. George Kennedy has a brief role (that's him with the beard).

Harry Townes and Jeanne Bal appear together in the MR. NOVAK episode "Death of a Teacher."

Bal is excellent in her recurring role as Assistant Principal Jean Pagano, and Townes is superb in his guest-star appearance as a teacher. Great show and I highly recommend it!

Hal Needham again in the Have Gun - episode "The Uneasy Grave." He's sitting guard outside a door that Paladin wants to go thru. He has a line and a stunt! "Mister Johnson says nobody goes inside." Which Paldin responds to by dropping a flower pot on his foot, punching him and throwing him over a railing into the street.

Col. Klink plays the villain in this one.

The Have Gun - ep "Soledad Crossing" features Natalie Norwick ("Conscience of the King") as an innocent young settler full of dreams, traveling with her father.

It's always fun to spot Trek actors right after their appearance on the show (sometimes even in the same week!)

Barbara Luna is no stranger to Desilu productions, having been on M:I last year and "Mirror, Mirror" just two weeks ago. Now, here she is on Tarzan, aired last night (10-20-1967):

Sing along!
"And my head I'd be a scratchin'
While my thoughts are busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain."

(Mannix's brain would be a good choice)

With all the blows to the head Mannix suffered throughout the series, his brain would be the last one I'd want placed in my head.

I almost was ready to edit my comment but you beat me to it! According to the web he was shot 17 times and sustained 55 concussions during the series. Maybe Kara should have gotten his brain when he worked early on for Intertech!

Not sure it's as "surprising" as it is "she needed a job", but Denise Crosby is on General Hospital this week as Liz Webber's estranged and never before seen mother.

It's only a shame Richard Dean Anderson couldn't be lured back as Jeff Webber.

Okay, but we're doing TOS actors only in the TOS forum. :)
