Trek guest actors in maybe surprising roles

Cannon episode 11, "Sone Cold Dead," features Lou Antonio as a less-than-moral charter boat captain blackmailing a rich kid who caused a missing girl's accidental death.

This episode features something I used to call the "Stupid Crook Syndrome" - There was literally no proof against the perp, and the guys blackmailing him (who also had no concrete proof) didn't commit any other crime beyond not revealing their suspicions. But in order to get the episode over with in the last act, all three of these previously normal guys panicked, got guns and tried to murder Cannon. Hell of an escalation, boys!

I read that and knew exactly which episode you were talking about.
It was one of those rare instances where I was up late and caught it on MeTV and thought, Cannon didn't have anything, yet, aĺl of sudden they're running around trying to kill him.

Not so much a person as a music cue. I'm watching a rerun of the Bob Barker Price is Right and for the Showcase Showdown, the music being used is the theme from TMP, later reused as the TNG theme.

With that hair and makeup, she looks like Stella Stevens. Stevens was never on Star Trek, but she was in The Poseidon Adventure, produced by Irwin Allen. Allen never produced Star Trek, but he did produce Lost in Space, which shared several of our composers and guest stars. And hey, Space!
