Trek guest actors in maybe surprising roles

The Burning Bright toup is particularly bad, it has to be said but the episode is top notch and one of the stand outs in the first season!

Something possessed me to watch The Devil's Rain tonight.

Is that (non-Trek alum) Ida Lupino in the first pic? Shatner has had an impressive costar roster over the years, hasn't he?

According to IMDb, Ida Lupino is in that movie, yes.

(And IMDb's predictive text is screwed up. When I'd typed "The Devil's Rai", the top suggestion was The Devil's Rain, but then when I added the final "n," that suggestion disappeared to be replaced with The Devil's Rejects. Huh?????)

The cast included Ida Lupino, Ernest Borgine (in the best devil-goat makeup ever!), Keenan Wynn, and Tom Skerrit. Oh, and John Travolta in what I think was his first movie. Tho he only appears as an acolyte with no eyes. A great cast in a really terrible movie.

Arlene Martel being all luminous and beautiful on the season 1 Twilight Zone episode "What You Need."

Phillip Pine as one persona of a guy who impersonates dead people, in a 1st season Twilight Zone

Seeing my two biggest boyhood heroes together was utterly fascinating back then, but Lee Majors was just so well put-together, so much the man I wished I could be, that post-TOS Shatner (or nearly anyone else) would have suffered in comparison.

The "Josh" toupee is not bad, it's very good, if you just allow for it not being made of human hair:

You'd like to have a mechanical arm, both legs and infra-red eye? :wtf: Then again I suppose we all wanted to be like Steve and have his super strength when we were kids! :D

True. They did a masterful job of creating the illusion that Steve and Jaime could have all the advantages of super strength, yet almost none of the troubles and discomforts of artificial limbs. It was TV magic.

I love the Steve/Jaime relationship, but I could not rectify the age difference.

IRL they were ten years apart; the fictional difference could be smaller. My parents IRL were fifteen years apart. So it can happen.
Ten years = questionable relationship. Fifteen years = pedophile. (Steve and Jaime, not your parents.) Maybe it was 5 years if you de-age Lee Majors and up age Lindsey to cut off about 10 years and move the relationship up into his mid-twenties.

There was an age difference indeed but not that big as Steve's Mother mentions that Jaime had a crush on Steve at school or vice versa in the episodes...

10 years is nothing. My folks were 8 years apart. Dick Van Dyke and MTM were 11 years apart and played for laughs that she was even younger. Love knows no age limits (unless one of them is under 18, then it's a problem. )

Trouble with age is there is a difference! I had a few relationships with older women that worked for a while and one with a much younger woman that has shown that our interests and the relationship over time has changed and not for the best unfortunately!
