I don't know. Time-travel has a pretty good track record when it comes to Star Trek: "City on the Edge of Forever," "Tomorrow is Yesterday," "All Our Yesterdays," "Yesteryear," "Yesterday's Enterprise," "Tapestry," "Little Green Men," "Trials and Tribble-ations," "Future's End," and, of course, THE VOYAGE HOME and FIRST CONTACT.
In fact, if you think about it, the top-grossing TOS movie
and the top-grossing TNG movie both involved time travel. The new movies could do worse than take a lesson from that.
Clearly, there's gold in them there chronitons . . .
