Haha Freudian slip. Whoops! That's right, Rosie Huntington-Whitely. Just based on what I've seen of her in the trailers. Not all that flattering. Really going to miss Megan Fox's character Mikaela.
Strictly from photos online and so on, I can see that. However, I do dig the fact that they went back into 80's Transformers canon to create her character.

Listen, we all should know this will be another Michael Bay abortion that is good eye candy but lacks and sucks in so many ways it will be impossible to count. The only measureable difference will be is that he got a new easy on the eyes tramp to replace Megan Fox.
Him telling us it will be better and more insightful than Revenge of the Fallen is akin to George Lucas telling us how "dark" Revenge of the Sith as going to be.

I'm pretty damn excited, though I admit that I will also miss Megan Fox. Not because she's an awesome actress or anything; I just don't like it when characters disappear because of real world reasons. From the trailer, it looks like this new girl might not be a huge focus of the story, which will make it a little easier to deal with.

Carly is based from the cartoon and marries Spike Witwicky in the series and is the mother of Daniel. It's unclear how big a part she has in the film but obviously from the trailer shots of her and Sam they're pretty close and in love. I guess this takes place a couple of years removed from the second film.
I just hope they don't do anything to pretend that Megan Fox's character never existed. I mean, if the world was being invaded by Transformers, given her experience in the first two movies, you'd expect her to be around. I just hope they give a better explanation for it other than "Oh, she and Sam broke up."

^ That is something that I'm interested in as well. I'd hope that there is some kind of explanation for Mikaela's absence other than "Oh they broke up" (right after the two of them admitted their love for each other and oh yeah she kind of brought Sam back from the dead
