Then in a very I am Spartacus fashion, random baller gay twitter users started arriving on his feed demanding to be blocked.

Dog whistles are mostly something politicians do. Talking to someone on the internet is just talking. Sure he is a celebrity but I don't think people are looking towards him as some kind of expert on the issue. Also it's possible he is. It's just something that can't be proved. It comes down I suppose if someone wants to give him the benefit of doubt or not. I can see why people would be skeptical but I tend to lend towards trust more than not. At least with people. Have lots of negative views about society in general but when it comes to individuals I always expect most people to be good or at least mostly good. Not everything has to turn to conflict and even disagreement can be done in a respectful way. I haven't followed everything he has ever said. If he is talking about what it's like to be trans then I agree. That's at the very least very stupid. I guess it depends on the context of how he was called cis-male to begin with. If he was trying to explain being trans I agree that is totally out of line. But if it was brought up in some other fashion that might be different.

For example I know one of big reasons behind decriminalizing prostitution is because of how bad trans sex workers are treated. Also why representation on tv and movies is important especially since trans people seem to be the last ones to sort of have been able to break through in this area because now you see diversity everywhere in movies and tv except for trans characters.

Why I would I alert Trump? Even if tell him he is wrong he won't listen and he has a good chance of being kicked out pretty soon anyways. That's if the riots don't save his bacon. I just wish we could get someone in who would go after the monopolies. If bigotry every dies it's going to be because of something like that. No, the reason it happens is because trans people are othered and treated as something outside the norm until the point where some men will kill a trans woman he's dating because he's worried he might be seen as gay. Her life is seen as a worthless and a secret meant to be thrown away in an instant. That othering was seen as perfectly acceptable until the last few years and there has been very little progress in fixing this because of attitudes like Shatner's and it's very much a possiblity that things will get far worse for trans people given the direction many western countries are going due to people with attitudes like Shatner's and cheered on by those who are worse. Even you are contributing to it by trying to defend this.

This is why Trump has to be elected out. As for religion it's slowly dying off. The last Pew report I saw showed that those who identify as Christian drooped 8% from 2007 to 2014 and those who are described as non-religious rose by 7%. As for the rich I am guessing lots of hatred but also money is their main priority. Which is why I say it's all about the money. I wish I could get people to realize that is how you fix society. It's easier to give people privilege than it is to change hearts and minds in a system built around tight competition where failure means your left fighting for scraps just to survive.

As my avatar shows, I'm one of the marginalized people, and even though cops have treated me badly in my life (stopped and questioned at 15 on suspicion of looking like a person who'd committed a robbery, arrested in my late 20's because of the accusation of being an arsonist just because my name was found on a piece of paper that I'd thrown out in garbage that was burned in the fire which was set in my own apartment building by somebody else), I don't think that all cops are bastards, nor do I want police departments defunded. What would this actor do if somebody had assaulted him or robbed him, and he wanted to have said person dealt with-would he take the law into his own hands? Or-like anybody else-would he call the police because this person's a threat to public safety?

Actually socialist benefit the most. One thing right wing authoritarians like is order. They like rule of law and tradition and usually nationalism. And for the most part their has never been a need for a dictator authoritarian in America because frankly the rich have gotten so powerful they don't need one guy in a funny hat and military uniform controlling everything. When you look at America we already had that without the dictator. World's last remaining Super Power. Strongest Military in the world. Wealthiest nation in the world and the dollar was the number one currency. The rich can basically do anything any dictator can and they can do it without anyone even gunning for them because nobody knows who most of them are or what they are really doing in private.

In away Trump was what people have been wanting for along time and thought Obama was going to be. Someone who shakes up the system and doesn't act like a typical politician and basically doesn't let governing norms get in the way of doing what the people want. Only difference is people I think envisioned someone who was actually noble and cared about saving the people and instead they got a ego driven crook with no outward morals to be seen. Granted many of his supporters still see him though as the guy shaking things up and fighting for them because they hate the left so much and frankly they got no choice at this point. Biden isn't going to going to give them what they want and the Republican party is going to be shifting even more towards the middle as they try and survive in a post Trump party world.

Socialists and I guess you could even say Communist and anarchist and other sorts who also want to upend the system and create something new realize this is their chance since they have always been on the outside looking in when it comes to government policy. America has never been more open to change than it is right now and that is because the country is so split almost anything seems possible which is why we are in civil war right now though nobody wants to call it that. But if Biden holds true to form he will come in and basically squash all those hopes and pretty much return the country back to moderate leadership as they try and build back the country from it's 4 year fling with extremism. I think you will see some positive change but I bet Biden spends most of his first 4 years just doing damage control if he gets elected. While also dealing with the outside threat of China and always Russia at least as long as Putin is alive.
