How? In The Naked Time, it seemed like it had never been done before (and also implied in "Tomorrow is Yesterday"), and Vulcans thought it was "illogical" in ENT. I'm not sure this would be it.

Time barrier likely doesn't mean "time travel". Maybe a way to limit time dilation at subwarp speeds? But that would also violate what came before...

I liked the trailer the second time more than the first. I hope this isn't a bang em up action show but it definitely has my attention. Have we still not see the Discovery in action, or did we finally get a glimpse after Lorca said we're finding new ways to fly?

Just rewatched the trailer; I'm pretty sure that is Discovery.

It was a bit too confusing and incoherent for me to really get very excited. Plus I'm not a fan of pseudo-philosophical Hollywood-deep voice-overs like "Up is down, down is up, blabla". I would've liked to just see more of the crew and their interaction and a bit less action.
But then again I think I'm just not a fan of trailers in general. :P

But it did look good and worked better than the first one.

The production values on this show are crazy. Love that it looks so good. Looks like the action will be good and I'm really interesting in what the relationship between Burnham and Lorca will be. I'm hoping Michelle Yeoh's character actually doesn't die but will still be around.

"The time barrier was broken" line comes from The Cage. I always assumed it refers to warp speed. Lorca's line reminded me of that.
