It was a bit too confusing and incoherent for me to really get very excited. Plus I'm not a fan of pseudo-philosophical Hollywood-deep voice-overs like "Up is down, down is up, blabla". I would've liked to just see more of the crew and their interaction and a bit less action.
But then again I think I'm just not a fan of trailers in general. :P

But it did look good and worked better than the first one.

I think I felt the same way after the first viewing. Still it is a trailer and the more Vague it is the better. Like I said it has my attention. I even liked the little bit of Mudd we got and I was kind of outspoken about including that character.

I seem to have missed something. Is the Europa something we knew about already?
Nope, new.

Also better look at those other Klingon outfits

You really wouldn't confuse this iteration of Harry Mudd for Roger C. Carmel's version, but Rainn Wilson still manages to retain the air of faux-nobility that the Mudd charatcer should have.

EDIT: I think the biggest difference is, without the broad-brimmed hat and or the handlebar mustache, this version of Mudd comes across as less of a dandy.

"The time barrier was broken" line comes from The Cage. I always assumed it refers to warp speed. Lorca's line reminded me of that.

Yeah, I'm aware of where it comes from. But since warp drive was developed a couple centuries prior ("Where No Man...", "Metamorphosis"), they have to be talking about something else.

Yeah, the Gold Uniform looks interesting, I'm thinking it is something similar to Kirk's tunic in TOS.

Yeah, noticed the avocado shirt, too. Thought it was civilian wear at first, but she seems to wear the Starfleet badge with it.

Wonderful production values. Technobabble seems to have been replaced by philosophy-babble, but that's just typical Trek (listen to any TOS Kirk sermon on the human condition). I hope the characters are worth investing in. If they are, they'll have me.

(Still, I have to admit this new series makes me feel a bit melancholy, too. It makes me realize even more how old the adventures of Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and the others are, and how much I miss them. That said, I really want a fourth movie ASAP as much as I want to see this series. This will be the sixth incarnation of "Star Trek" on TV, but my heart will always stay with the original characters.)

As a fan who started watching 'Star Trek' first run on NBC at age 6 in 1969 - this paragraph here really sums up how I feel about seeing ST: D . THIS is what I wish TNG had been like hen it debuted back in 1987 in all honesty.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply you don't know. Perhaps the time barrier is something other than warp?
