TOS Crewmembers in civilian clothes

If they are in civvies, how would we know if they are in Starfleet of not? Maybe they are just visiting passengers.

At any rate, here is the woman sunbathing in "Elaan of Troyius:"

Totally missed that on the rewatch. Thanks. I'll error on the side of "there aren't many instances and will take any that look like what I'm going for.

I think we are again seeing an instance of budget limitations. In "This Side Of Paradise" only Spock wears civilian attire after being overcome by the spores. McCoy, Sulu, DeSalle and the rest of the crew remain in their Starfleet uniforms even while doing field work down on the planet. Logically, after being taken over by the spores, they should all have chucked their uniforms for civilian clothes.

Budget considerations constrained a lot of what they did. Costuming only had so many green jumpsuits and the the colonists were wearing most of them.

I'll have to decide whether to use something from a deleted scene. I mostly like to keep within what was broadcast. It's tempting since there are so few times civilian clothes were actually used.

The ups and downs of data collection...

No. Multiple ones. Not just Chapel attacking Uhura after she says a negative comment about Spock, but every speaking-part crewwoman who appeared on Kirk's ship from previous episodes.
Rand and Noel could battle over which one was in the original DAGGER OF THE MIND script, and so on.

It was the 60s. Even though Star Trek was held up as forward thinking the general mentality of the day and the industry meant women were still second class. Just look at the number of times women were used as waitresses and coffee servers on the ship.

That's why she wasn't allowed to fight any men, only have cat-fights. Mirror, Mirror—when she was the one who disarmed Moreau in the transporter room. The Gamesters of Triskelion—She was held at bay by two female slaves from Kirk and Chekov fought their guards and how she disabled her male guard in a non-violent manner.

There were probably others...

Starfleet yes but not a member of the Enterprise. Yea, there's a bunch like that—close but no cigar.

But I appreciate any possible suggestions from everybody.

I've decided to include two from the suggestions in this thread. Captain Pike in his dream sequences and Areel Shaw in that crazy green paisley dress (with a note she was not part of the Enterprise crew.)

I am not, however, including any deleted scenes. I can only go with what was broadcast.

I thank you all for your suggestions and comments.

And how does Uhura rate the sexy little blue number while all of the other patients get the usual blue smock with black turtleneck? I know the obvious real life answer. You didn't see Kirk's sister-in-law in something like that.
