Because it was about seeing if they could get them to do it, not necessarily about the kids themselves?I have a question, if Jack was meant to give them 12 children the first time, and they only got 11, why did they give the cure?

What really got me though is that the complete anti-Who fan in the room refused to get up during the whole ep, cried at Ianto's death and - the biggie - has declared "Fuck Big Brother" and will be watching Torchwood tomorrow.
I. Have won. The war.
but could they not have asked for another kid instead of him?Because it was about seeing if they could get them to do it, not necessarily about the kids themselves?I have a question, if Jack was meant to give them 12 children the first time, and they only got 11, why did they give the cure?
and we are giving away 10% of the kids, ok its 10% from the bottom of the school league tables, but still they did it,
Anything is better than BBWhat really got me though is that the complete anti-Who fan in the room refused to get up during the whole ep, cried at Ianto's death and - the biggie - has declared "Fuck Big Brother" and will be watching Torchwood tomorrow.

Ha ha. I had a similar experience, the wife is now a Torchwood fan!!!Just need to work on Doctor Who now......
more to the point where is Sarah Jane Smith in all of this? great its been confirmed it wont effect her little group, but thats not the point, why is she not sonic lipsticking her way into Thames House, in an attempt to reason with the 456?
I was thinking the same thing as I was watching it. It definitely had a whiff of the Wannsee Conference about it.I assume the inspiration was "Conspiracy" that film about the Nazis planning the Final Solution.
Yeah, the banality of evil. I can't believe how many levels this works on, and I can't believe there's only one epsiode left!!![]()
And if it's not reset buttoned tomorrow it may just be lemming friday. The Samaritans will be engaged tonight, by the looks of things.![]()
I'm torn, part of me really wants a reset button to bring Ianto back, but I know I'll probably be bloody annoyed if we get one!
I didnt say it made it better, but sure seems to make the people at COBRA feel better. That makes it better?and we are giving away 10% of the kids, ok its 10% from the bottom of the school league tables, but still they did it,![]()
im not going to say it was rubbish because Sarah Jane wasnt in it, im just wondering what she is doing, even since TSE/JE, its now nearly impossible for me not to wonder what Sarah Jane is doing during a Doctor Who or Torchwood episode. Are you serious? Are you that much of a fanboy that you'd cheapen what has, so far, been one of the best pieces of serious British Sci-Fi drama in a long while, just to fulfil some fanwank fantasy where Sarah Jane turns up with sonic fucking lipstick to help save the day?
Luke & the gang are well into puberty so it wont be effecting the gang. Its lucky for the storyline that none of them have younger siblings, other wise, the absence of Sarah Jane would seem even odder. What effect are the 456 transmissions having on Luke Smith? (If any...)
im not saying he is right, but its an interesting thing to say, and if she is the protector of all the kids of England, they since the 456 are using & want to take children, then she should be doing something about it.Nice symbolism too. With Luke being a conglomeration of "all" the people in England, Sarah Jane figuratively and, in a way, literally is a mother and protector to all the kids of England.
im not going to say... [snip]

I won't be buying the DVDs or supporting the show or the next two Doctor Who specials in any way if they've killed off one of the few queer lead characters on television. John Barrowman once said "The pink pound is powerful." Well, I hope Russel T Davies doesn't get a shilling from here on out if he actually did something this offensive. I'm not even sitting in suspense for tomorrow night. I'm disgusted with the whole thing.
Indeed. And he was a later host of The Movie Game.I know this is OT but was john barrowman on live and Kicking?

Perhaps now is the time to fully recruit PC Andy?Poor Ianto. It made me tear up. But I understand it had to happen. I can't help but think Gwen's sad look wasn't just about Ianto dying, but about the entire Torchwood team that she got to know is now all dead. First Suzie, then Owen and Tosh, and now Ianto. Only Jack remains, because Jack cannot die. And if she and Rhys and Lois become part of Torchwood, how long until they're all dead too?
