Top Ten TV Shows of the Season

Hah hah okay just one more off topic post. Good thing this isn't TWOP or we'd be banned by now. :rommie:

Ventimiglia sure as hell couldn't play out such conflicting emotions with any finesse

Fair enough, the Petrelli brother dynamic may crash on the shoals of Milo's acting limitations, but I'll give them the chance to pull it off. I can see Peter thinking he'll be unable to accept Sylar-Nathan as his brother yet flummoxed by the reality of Nathan, seemingly re-born and confirm-able by mind-reading. If there's one thing Milo can pull off, it's flummoxed.

Hell, at TWOP you can get banned if two other posters argue over an opinion you make. Trust me, I know. Twice.

I don't know. Flummoxed with any finesse might still be beyond Milo's meager abilities. I just don't trust the Heroes' writers.

The Mentalist
24
CSI Miami
House
Lie to Me
NCIS
Flashpoint
The Unusuals
Boston Legal
Fringe
Life
Pushing Daisies

Sitcoms :

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Family Guy
Southpark

Note : The Mentalist really tore House off of the #1 spot for me. Patrick Jane is much more interesting than House, and there are times where he seems evil, seems good... Very morally ambigulous, less obvious. I love it.
This weeks episode was utterly brilliant. Elaborate plot set up, corner the suspect, and leave the only option to confess or die. I couldn't help but think of the phrase "checkmate" after watching that scene. It's like Sherlock Holmes on crack. Just like the first episode of House, the first episode of the Mentalist swiftly grabbed my attention. I knew that show was going to be brilliant from day 1, and the clever use of NLP is a boost.
Simon Baker is also a master of nonverbal humor, the gotcha smile, rolling eyes at CEOs, etc. It's so funny yet there is a compelling dramatic side to the show as well.

CSI Miami seems to be delving deeper into Caruso's compassionate side, and his need to protect others. I've always loved Horatio Cane, a very caring man, but a protector as well.

And 24 is just plain damn good this year. Fast paced, action packed, good villains... I liked the new characters, the President, Larry Moss, Agent Walker, as well as Jonas Hodges. Tony Almeda is a great villain. Everything just worked this year.

House is still good, although I think it's reeling a bit from all the extra cast members. Plus, it's hard to top the drama with Amber's death. That extreme, left me wondering what could they do next. How could they top that intensity? So far this season they haven't. The show is still good.

Lie to Me is an excellent new show about a subject that interests me.

NCIS is something worth watching, as the characters are interesting.

The Unusuals looks very promising.

Fringe is entertaining, but moody, like the X-Files.

Flashpoint is a good solid drama, somewhat better than The Unit.
