The Least Disliked Episode 2025 - LD Season 1

Our addictive biyearly game of rapid elimination returns - now with more shows than ever. It's generally a lot of fun, providing a chance to mentally revisit those episodes you may not have thought about in a while. With that in mind, why not play again?

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favourite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode just because you feel it would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

Superb first season. I love this show!

Taking out "Temporal Edict".

The idea of 'Buffer Time' is funny, but I don't think it completely works for Starfleet.

The Ensign Fletcher A story in "Terminal Provocations" is one of the only arcs in the full series to just flat-out fail.

~ Agreed! This is definitely my least favourite LDS ep (I still love the rest of it, though).

I love Lower Decks - all eps are favourites in some way - but my least favourite of those remaining is Moist Vessel. I just don't really like O'Connor and his 'ascending' storyline (although parts of it are fun) as Tendi seems to be trying TOO hard (she's better than that, but I get that this is still part of the first season shakedown).

"Second Contact" Definitely one of the weaker episodes of the series.

Remember back when bitching about Lower Decks was far more common, and the thing the LD haters just would. not. shut. up. about was Mariner just listing the references at the end? That was always held up as the proof that this was just lazy reference comedy with no merit of its own.

And the reaction to it was overblown, but that also was a terrible bit of writing! You can't end your pilot that way! It DOES give people the wrong idea!

Getting tougher but I think Veritas is nudged off the shelf by stronger episodes. Someone needs to talk to them about female lizard anatomy.

Eliminating "Cupid's Errant Arrow" and kind of surprised it made it this far. I like the plotline with Tendi and Rutherford being after the T88, but the storyline with Mariner and Boimler doesn't land at all with me (a handful of funny moments aside).

[Farscape One]

It's really hard. I love all three of these. The finale actually made the Pakleds a legitimate threat. THE PAKLEDS!!!! That is some excellent writing skill right there.

"Envoys" is a great look at who Mariner really is... a helper. Her ruse to give Boimler confidence is fantastic.

And "Much Ado About Boimler" is great fun. However, I'll take that one out ONLY because we get a better look at Mariner's character in one episode while the other did the impossible with the Pakleds.

Well, as much as I love Envoys, I love the surprising and thrilling No Small Parts more, so Envoys leaves the games and we have a winner:
