Now it's not really for me to say, because I didn't see the whole season, only the half pilot, which left me uninterested. However, I've kept abreast of some of the chatter, enough to know I wouldn't like it.In comparison to Discovery, that isn't much of a bar to clear.
We've already had enough of lost heroes with Luke Skywalker and Dale Cooper gone missing in TFA and Twin Peaks S3. I hope they don't rehash that theme for the new Picard series. That could explain the "10 years since Picard has been seen" rumor. He could easily lose track of time somewhere searching dead civilizations.
Hell, maybe he finds the Iconian tech that's resposible for the 7 red bursts on DSC. BAM! There's your crossover.
If I become emperor of Trek, this series will see a Jem'Hadar incursion against DS9, and Ambassador Picard, Captain Worf, and Captain Kira will go through the wormhole to seek out the Dominion for an explanation, picking up Sisko and Odo on the way
And this could be seeing the beginning of an AMERICAN HORROR STORY version of seasons with this new show... each year, the focus on a different high profile character/species/planet/ship/insert all options here.
Also Flynn/Tron2, Deckard/BR2 (and of course there was Spock in Unification)We've already had enough of lost heroes with Luke Skywalker and Dale Cooper gone missing in TFA and Twin Peaks S3. I hope they don't rehash that theme for the new Picard series.
We are so getting 7of9 this timeActually, I kind of like the idea of this show blending select veterans from across Berman Trek. There wasn't enough interaction between TNG and the other shows, especially after TNG switched to movies.
XFiles again?..Somehow I think the writers of the upcoming show might wish that the TNG movies were never made. Or is it just me?
'All Good Things...' was such an awesome final chapter and the the four movies ruined that...

Why can't he be both?
