"TNG" Remastered

You should definitely post an effects reel of the work you did for the episode. You have to be ready to accept critique on something like this, not as a negative thing, but as something to help you grow and improve your skills.

It was all really quite exceptionally well done, but with room for improvement to bring it up to current levels of CGI.

It's a challenge. One that I think Picard himself would encourage you to meet. Fire off a line or two to Darren Dochtorman...I'm sure he would be happy to give you some pointers on how to improve the lighting for example.

I think you are being a little thin skinned. I mean you didnt honestly expect that everyone was gonna say they loved it. You have to know how picky Trek fans are.
From what I saw I was hoping you were gonna do more...

Some of you may be aware of this... There is a person or persons attempting to re-master the crappy FX work of Associates and Ferren as seen in TFF. He/ they, have posted their work on YouTube. The vids are only a few minutes in length. They usually come with a tag that explains what they are trying to do and that Star Trek belongs to Paramount, CBS, Viacom, Gulf+Western, Desilu, or whatever this week.

Picard Alpha, this may work for you also.

Picard Alpha, let me say this to you bro: good work.

You did more than 99.9% of the internet. You tried. You made an honest to gods effort, and the finished product was fairly decent.

It's easy to nit-pick from the gallery. Not so easy to put your proverbial money where your mouth is and actually get off your duff and do something. You did.

For some reason, the internet through it's anonymity brings out the brutal honesty in people. Sometimes a bit too brutal for civilities own good. It's a shame, and I'd give real money to see any of the people who've rained on your parade "put up or shut up" and give the same project a go for their own part. Instead they'll poo-poo others efforts under the guise of 'honest feedback' -- and you know, some of it likely even is just trying to be honest feedback -- but most of it gets lost in the sea of arrogant vitriol that being behind a screen in your own house provides.

You, my friend, tried. You made an effort. You did something. You didn't just sit their with your thumb up your butt. Good for you. If we had way more fans of that mindset and way fewer of the other variety, we would be a lot better off.

Oh Christ Almighty. People weren't brutal. He just got his feelings hurt because it was criticized at all.

His Star Trek: Encarta is still on the internet. The last film in the series is considered by some fan film fans (and I confess I have not yet watched it) one of the best fan films ever made. He's got nothing to prove.

This is my webpage on his films, which includes links both to his films and to reviews of his films:
