Game TNG Episode Pitch Game

"Earl Grey Or Death" - Q returns, whisking Picard off to Revolutionary War era Boston for to meet an ancestor of his he had not previously known about, causing him to call into question what makes a person - their own conception of self and lineage, or the truth. Checkpoint

After the events of The Wounded, Zakdorn strategist Sirna Kolrami returns to the Enterprise with a group of other Zakdorn delegation members, who are tasked with setting up new outposts along the Cardassian border, intent on curbing the suspicious activity that drew attention during the Benjamin Maxwell crisis. It becomes apparent that Kolrami has been reduced in rank & stature since his last visit, due especially to how embarrassingly he'd conducted himself when last aboard. In particular, the delegation is rather obsessively preoccupied with how Data had humiliated him at their game of strategema.

Kolrami is intent on regaining his reputation by challenging Data again, realizing that Data will once again attempt to stalemate him indefinitely. Knowing that his only hope is to outlast Data, who is impervious to fatigue, Kolrami subjects himself to dangerous drug treatments in hopes of matching Data's endurance. Will Data ultimately decide to throw the match, once it becomes obvious that Kolrami is endangering himself, or will the now much more humbled & desperate Zakdorn endure life threatening physical damage to accompany his personal loss of face?

Meanwhile, Deanna counsels a crewmember who is consistently late for duty and has excuse after excuse.

Next episode: "Poor Relations" (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/poor relation#:~:text=: one that is regarded as holding a subordinate or inferior position)

"Poor Relations" - The Enterprise returns to Pacifica to effect a personnel transfer. The Ent-D is losing a couple of her crew, one from engineering and one from science, to a sea-going vessel with deep sea submersible pods. Geordi, Data, Picard, and the two transfers beam down to the ship, named Calypso. They take a ride down to the sea floor in a pod to observe the reason for interest in the assignment, the exploration of ancient ruins, Atlantean in suggestion, some 100,000 years old, incredibly deep and newly discovered.

While they are descended, the Ent-D is called away on an emergency mission. It is not 100% safe to transport up, so Picard sends Riker on his way.

Things get exciting with undersea earthquakes and giant monsters. The pods have to use phasers, to drill their way out of danger and to chase away the sea life, without killing it.

Picard expresses envy at his former crewmen's futures. However, one calls Picard out for having pointed out during the recent personnel review that their careers could stall as a result of the transfer. Picard admits his error, and replies that they will become experts on something unique, and that will give them valuable experience. They are still young, and opportunities in the future may open to them and no one else.

Meanwhile, the Ent-D has arrived to rescue a transport from pirates, only to find that they have already rescued themselves.

When they are reunited, Picard and Riker discuss how they've learned that they've been prejudiced by their position into undervaluing those around them who also serve the Federation. But they're learning, and today was a good day for that.

"Grains of Sand" (aka "Troi Hears a Who") - The Enterprise-D is collecting geological samples on an uninhabited volcanic world. Data gives an interesting rock he locates to Deanna after she tells him how lovely it looks. She puts it in her office and shortly thereafter begins experiencing terrible headaches, auditory hallucinations, sleepwalking to her office in the night, etc. The rock is actually the home of a microspecies of telepathic humanoids (not shrunk a la "Terratin Incident", naturally small) who were taking refuge there after the eruption - they can't live there any more due to the current planet's turmoil. "Embraceable Q" - Riker reconsiders Q’s offer and joins the Q Continuum. It gives Riker the opportunity to fix a number of his mistakes – such as the Pegasus Incident – and allows him to reunite with Minuet. Riker even takes the opportunity to rid the galaxy of the Borg and bring back those lost at their hands. But when Riker tries to bring Troi into the Continuum, she resists and perceives Riker to be drunk with power. It comes to a head when Troi threatens to get together with Tom Riker, as he’s more reminiscent of the Will Riker she knew than the Riker that’s a part of the Continuum. But from Riker’s perspective, he think’s he’s doing a good thing, as he knows how her future turns out along with the rest of the crew.

“The Real Rasmussen” - Inexplicably, despite his still being actually present in the 24th century, Berlinghoff Rasmussen apparently resurfaces in the past and causes problems for the timeline. The actual Rasmussen contacts the crew of Enterprise-D with his concerns that a historian who he was working with has stolen his identity and started a new life in the 2100s, to escape the consequences of illegally trafficking in artifacts entrusted to him. Will and Deanna work with the real man to track down his imposter, but find they're not the only ones looking for the fake Rasmussen - the people he's been artifacts selling to are hot on his trail, too, after he double crossed them.

Next episode: "Bone of Contention"

"Bone of Contention" - Pulaski returns to the Enterprise to oversee a medical exam involving Starfleet cadets, and argues with Picard that he did not fight to keep her on board. Picard counters that she had agreed to take on new assignment. The bickering between the two gets more complicated when Lwaxana Troi, onboard while being transported to a conference, comes to the defense of Picard to try and settle a score with Pulaski - something that stems from before Picard even entered Starfleet Academy.

Meanwhile, Geordi has an issue with Barclay when he relapses and creates new holodeck fantasies, this time of Dr. Leah Brahms, who Geordi is more that aware does not like being represented in that way. Geordi tries to get Barclay to delt the program, only for Barclay to remain steadfast against the request, partially because it was Troi’s idea in the first place as part of an experimental new therapy.

Next episode - “Yield to Oncoming Traffic”

“Yield to Oncoming Traffic” - Enterprise-D is dispatched to clear space lanes for a massive incoming fleet that is travelling to their new planet, after their home has become naturally uninhabitable. "Round Numbers"

The Enterprise visits a newly warp-capable civilization whose dominant culture has a strange superstition about round numbers and freak outs because the -D in their culture resembles a round number that has the same meaning as the death card in playing Tarot cards.
