TNG - DVD purchase question

Hello,

Can anyone here speak to the quality of the DVD set with the cast silhouettes? Right now on Amazon, the entire seven seasons costs roughly $123 (if you purchase the seasons which the cast silhouettes). I would like to purchase the set that offers the option of watching either the remastered or the original version - much like the Original Series.

This is so confusing. For those of you who have purchased the series, which one did you buy and why?

Thank you very much!

P.S. If this has been addressed already, could someone point me to that thread? I tried to search but only found threads about the BluRays.

To my knowledge, the remastered versions are only available on Blu-ray. Unlike the TOS Blu-rays, the remastered versions of the episodes are the only ones offered on the Blu-rays, so you would have to stick to the DVDs for the original versions.

I have been happy with both the remastered Blu-ray versions as well as my old clunky DVD box sets from around 2002.

Thank you all for the responses and the explanations. I'm going to hold off on TNG for now while I purchase the sets for DS9, VOY, and ENT. I'll swing back to TNG and decide if I want the DVD's, the Blu-Rays, or both.
