"Tin Man" the worst episode of TNG ever?

Superman

Fleet Captain
Or is it just me?

It's boring, predictable, and the Tam character is poorly-characterized and annoying.

It was just on and I found it hard to sit through again, unlike the other TNG episodes I've watched more than twice.

Is it just me?

Hardly, when you have true and utter crap like The Naked Now and Rascals in the mix.

It's just you! :)

No, really, the story is good. But it unfolds a little slowly. And personally I like the idea of Tam receiving the thoughts of everyone around him. That must be horrifying!

What I also love: Jay Chattaways wonderful score (his first for TNG, by the way). I know, this has been said so often, but it is true: This score is one of TNG's finest ...

I thought that "Tin Man" was a semi-respectable episode. But if Tam's quirky personality gets on your nerves, I can understand how you can judge it harshly.

Kind of off topic but is Tam played by the same guy that plays Samuels in Star Trek Enterprise?

Yes, indeed. He also played the Secretary of Agriculture in an episode of The West Wing , "He Shall, From Time to Time."

I liked "Tin Man," by the way.

Tin man is far, far from the worst episode of TNG ever.

Its aged a bit, but then again a lot of them have.

Rascals is the worst episode of TNG. By a country mile.

No, I'm sorry, folks.

"Tin Man" beats all the ones you've mentioned.

Hell, even "Night Terrors" is a masterpiece in comparison.

Tin Man was OK. Not anything great, but far from being a bad episode. And for the record, I also like Rascals.

Tam looks and acts like a psycho Peter Pan but, any episode that has Romulans and a Warbirds in it and actually firing is OK by me.

Tin Man is far from my favorite episode, it's one I avoid at all costs. But it's also far from the worst episode.

Because as horrible as it is, it still isn't a friggin' clip show!

I actually like this episode. In fact it's probably in my top 20.

It has some genuine hard- sci-fi concepts in it like genetically bred spaceships and interstellar telepathy.

Night Terrors is a great episode.

Rascals makes me sad. :(

A literal scrape of the ideas barrel. What havent we done yet? Why not turn the crew into kids? Whats next? Dogs?

And as for Captain Pee-card. :wtf:

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.
