Time To Come Out...

I hate the bridge of the Enterprise-D. It's too spread out. I much prefer the TMP-style bridge.

I find this amusing, as the Refit bridge and the D bridge are the same diameter. The perception of size comes from the pockets fore and aft, with doors to other chambers, like the conference room and the captain's ready room.

  • I never cared for VOY's "lost in space" premise.
  • Wished the producers and the studio had been more creatively adventurous with ENT.
  • My interest in DIS kind of faded after I learned it was another TOS prequel.
  • Trek movies should be far more action-oriented and bigger in scale than the TV shows. It's on TV that Trek can do more with its characters and have more introspective stories.

I think it was the Battle Bridge that was a redress of the TMP bridge, not the main bridge.

Oh, and the Voyager's gimmick of variable-angle warp nacelles is stupid. It's a ship, not an F-14.

The NX-01 Enterprise looks like a Jiffy-Pop pan.

Starfleet's design philosophy of turning big ships into glorified cruise liners and only using small ships as pure combat or exploration ships is also stupid. Doing otherwise would not only make more sense, it would permit/force more casual activity off-ship.

None of the VOY villains or antagonistic species unique to Voyager were interesting. The Kazon were dollar-store Klingons.

Dollar store is being generous. I would have said dime store. Or perhaps "end of the day at a yard sale when everything is being given away for free."

Robert Picardo is a wonderful actor, but The Doctor was a ridiculous character. Any time I saw in the TV Guide that tonight's Voyager episode was going to feature The Doctor, I didn't watch it.

Jeri Ryan is a beautiful woman and a fine actress, but 7 of 9 was nothing more than a cynical grab for ratings. Inserting a teen fantasy ice-queen sex doll in a silver skinsuit eliminated ANY chance of my taking Voyager seriously. Not that I had been.

Seska stories bored the crap out of me. Zero interest.

You could say I hated that Tuvok didn't get more to do and say.

Never liked La Forge. Burton=artificial-sounding actor.

I was ok with Wesley except for ANYTHING having to do with the Academy.

And I simply don't believe that the Federation would adhere so closely to the Treaty of Algeron, and they should not. But to me that is as unbelievable as the Federation not using money, which I also don't buy, ha hah.

The first two seasons of Voyager were pretty boring.

I didn't find City On The Edge Of Forever to be amazing, though that's probably because I prefer the few Spock romance episodes to Kirk's.

The interior of the Enterprise D is ugly and sterile. I'm guessing that beige was a popular colour in the 80's.

I think it was the Battle Bridge that was a redress of the TMP bridge, not the main bridge.

Whether it was a redress is irrelevant. The point is, the diameter of each set was within a foot of each other. The D bridge only looked bigger. It actually wasn't.

TUC is not a very good movie:
1. Scooby Doo ending
2. Flimsy set design (the walls shake when Valeris slides down the pole in the kitchen... which leads to the question
3. Why the hell is there a fireman's pole in the kitchen?
4. Chekov's makeup was horrible.
5. Basically all Starfleet personnel were dumbasses in the movie.
6. You'd think the Klingons would have scanned Kirk, or at least check that little patch on his back. At the very least make them wear different clothes.

Was not a fan of the Visitor, I liked TNG's Where No One has gone before, I don't like the term shipping-but I'd put together Julian and Kira or Julian and Jadzia and on Voyager-Seven and Harry Kim.

I liked the Nazi aliens from Enterprise at the beginning of season 4, and didn't mind the Kazon as villains.

A lot of TNG is just bad, stagey and slow.

Plus I already have no interest in Discovery(STD..chuckle).

It amazes me that after all this time people still think that admitting they hate Voyager is 'coming out.' Half the threads in Gen Trek (rank your favourite to least favourite series!) only exist for people to pour bile on it, and Enterprise.

Yeah somebody recently just said they loved DS9 and talked about how it was the best-that's kind of a consensus opinion.
