I could have sworn reading an interview where Russell said the rift was closed when Torchwood Hub 3 was destroyed in Children of Earth. When did he say that the rift was part of the time crack?
Some time early in the talk about Torchwood's fourth season he made that statement.

Interesting nice RTD has virtually no say in Doctor Who. It matters what Moffet has to say about if the Cardiff/Torchwood rift was a time crack.
I seem to recall that in an interview he said that he was grateful to Moffatt for the time cracks as their closure meant that the rift didn't have to be separately healed.I could have sworn reading an interview where Russell said the rift was closed when Torchwood Hub 3 was destroyed in Children of Earth. Well I just finished watching audio commentaries with Moffat for "The Eleventh Hour" and "The Time of Angels" and rewatched "The Big Bang" again. After doing some thinking about it I have come to the conclusion that the time crack IS the reason that Amy does not remember the Dalek invasion. Based on the reasoning that after being exposed to it for so long erased certain things from her memory, including the most important people in her life, her parents. I mention The Big Bang because as River discovers there are aspects taken from the children's books that the crack and Auton's took and duplicated, including Rory. I would propose that the crack it's self is responsible for Amy not remembering the Dalek invasion and that everything happened before still occurred and was not erased by the crack. I think "The Eleventh Hour" does a good job of saying that things still happened as the did. The Doctor is still wearing his shredded suit from the Tenth. The Araxti scans showed previous monsters and Doctors. The Meanwhile in the Tadris skit shows previous female companions, including Rose and Donna. Therefor in concluding the crack has not erased anything and the Big Bang RESTORED everything.
Yeah he did but for some reason EJA doesn't want to accept this.
EJA, the person at the end is YOU, and the one before that agrees with you. Of course you trust their opinion!Take a look at this:

The person at the end seems pretty positive it's gone forever, and I see no reason not to trust his opinion.
