Tiger Woods Seriously Injured in Car Accident

Beating him with it, that's what!

Crazy White Women....

One Florida law enforcement official called it "a domestic issue." Yeah why smash out the back window, its nearly impossible to climb out the back window of an SUV. Why not just go around and open one of the doors, or use a spare key or smash a side window if you are determined to smash something in order to mount a rescue.

For some strange reason his Crash Injuries look like finger nail scratches :alienblush:
Reports TMZ:
We're told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman.
An Enquirer story leaked two days before the accident linked Woods to an NYC hostess Rachel Uchitel, who denied that she has been having an affair with Woods. So the argument between Tiger and his Wife got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up.
We're told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV - but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. :klingon: :scream::klingon::scream:
As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club. We're told Woods became "distracted," thought the vehicle was stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree. :(

what a marriage
:guffaw:

Can someone go check on him and see if he's okay? It doesn't take much injury for a golfing professional to lose his edge. The slightest injury could cost him his career. Was she worth it?

Geez, so much concern over his well being and career, it's kinda sickening (not just you Cos, but generally speaking towards posters, news reporters and tabloid hawkers)

Really, the guy smucked his car into a tree at such a low enough speed as to not set off the air bags, his wife smashed out his back window with, ironically, a golf club, and now everybody seems to want to know what's going on.

Who cares?

Is he possibly injured enough to ruin his career?

Who Cares?

Seriously all the guy does is swing a club on grass to toss a small white ball in a hole against opponents whom are mostly 20-30 years older then he is, and people marvel in his wonderance on just how good he is at kicking old fart arses who were in their prime decades ago before he could even walk.

I'm sure if he's injured / crippled as badly as the seniors he plays against, he can always pull a Gretzky and just stick to car & gillette commercials to keep his fancy little house in his fancy little fortified suburbian hell hole that locks out all the unwanted peasants from their perfect little bubble community.

I mean seriously, this isn't anything big, and it happens hundreds of times a day all over the world, and yet when it happens to him, suddenly the entire world needs to know about it and it's such a big deal.

^^ Don't get me wrong Praxius, I neither care about golf nor Tiger. It's just interesting that someone's career could end like this, that's all. It's the puzzling scenario.

It happened in America... could his wife be liable for this? From what I understand, if you slip in your kitchen and break your leg, you can sue your neighbour for having his TV on too loud.

Sounds like bullshit tabloid reporting to me. A whole bunch of baseless "We're told..." accusations because some people can't seem to handle a man wanting to keep his family life private and exercise his right not to talk to the police. The Florida HP came out and said "No, actually, TMZ's just rumor-mongering."

Domestic abuse? Really? People shouldn't make those kind of accusations lightly.

Yes, the Florida State Police are attempting to get a search warrant for Woods' home because of light, baseless accusations.

Yes, and you can't do it.

You could practice for the rest of your life, and you still wouldn't be able to do it.

Most people are impressed and interested by - in fact, admiring of - folks who have unusual skills or talents. Other folks simply resent and minimize them.

... said report of a search warrant is coming from TMZ,not the Highway Patrol themselves.

Glad Tiger came out and admitted he had an affair. It finally explains everything. Now maybe he, and the rest of us, can move on.

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman."

"I did have sexual relations with that woman."

I did.

I didn't.

ESPN is reporting that Tiger is planning to change his name to Cheetah Woods.

You know, this whole story has made me feel bad I started this whole thread. How did we get from a Car Accident to alleged affairs to pretty much the entire Media (Sports and otherwise) on this guy. It's like everything grew and grew and we've created a monster. I know it's been a slow news week (Middle of the NHL and NBA, No Football until Thursday) but this whole story has been nothing short of insane.

Q: Do you know the difference between a golf ball and an SUV?
A: Tiger can drive a golf ball more than 30 feet.

Why did Tiger's wife try to hit him with a 9-iron?
It's the best club to use for a bad lie.

Well I personally don't find it interesting that this occurs to people.... our cultures seem to be driven to watch those on high pedestals we put there in society to fall.

Just look at Britney Spears, Bill Clinton, David Letterman, and thousands of other celebrities/popular people in society over the years (George Michaels, Michael Jackson, Jude Law, Lindsay Lohan, etc. etc.)

For me, it's pretty expected.... Why, I can only guess because people want to see those better off then themselves to fall and have just as crappy lives as their own. *shrugs*

People don't have much of a choice, when the media outlets cram it down their throats. I was getting very frustrated during the MJ thing, because he would be hitting the front pages for weeks and weeks and weeks about the most trivial details of an ongoing investigation.

"Investigators find doctor's prescription in MJ's desk drawer..." etc etc. weeks to months after his death, fanning the flames for everyone upset about his death. Some people took his death pretty hard. I wouldn't wake to wake up to gruesome details about it every day for two months.

The balloon boy thing really pissed me off. "Balloon boy's family admits to hoax", etc. Basically the media is saying "we are stupid fucktards that will print any press release that comes our way." If a newspaper is duped into printing free publicity for another party, how fucking stupid must they be to print it again? And again and again?

What I find interesting about this story is how a (and arguably the best) pro golfer was chased by his wife (with one of his 9 irons, oh the irony) out of the house, crashed into a tree in a minor collision and the response was this three ring media circus complete with a police investigation and public apology.

The mass media and news services have absolutely no sense of shame whatsoever, and as Praxuis has stated, "our cultures seem to be driven to watch those on high pedestals we put there in society to fall." That's apt.

I want to look away but it's damn near impossible. That's it. I'm looking away right now... at the end of this sentence

On one hand, I think he's a piece of shit. Cheating on the mother of your children with random whores when she's preggers is fucking low. Especially when you have this All-American image you do everything cultivate. And in the process just rake in the cash. The public doesn't like being lied to or taken advantage of with false advertising. I mean, he's the most famous athlete on the planet. To think this wouldn't get attention is silly.

I mean, Golf is a very conservative game. If this was Football or Basketball or Baseball no one would care. Bad boy douchebags are a dime a dozen in those sports and cheating on your wife with random groupies is considered to be a perk there. But golf is still considered to be the sport of old white guys, despite Tiger being the sole person responsible for making it accessible to other people who normally wouldn't bother with it. No one has done more to bring golf into the the mainstream more then Tiger. So if I'm the PGA, I'm gonna be pretty pissed off at him. So when a golfer like Tiger acts like a Dallas Cowboy, many see it as a denigration of the sport.

On the other hand, he's a famous celebrity/athlete. And they usually act like extreme assholes at some point. It's the personality type I think.

And kudos to Jesper Parnivik for calling him on his bullshit.

I have mixed feelings about all the media attention on Tiger and his personal life. On the one hand, it's none of our business, his privacy should be respected, and I feel sorry for him and his family. On the other hand, when you are rich and famous, you should expect to be under a microscope, plus you owe it to the society that made you rich to be on your best behavior.

The good news for Tiger is that this will all be old news and forgotten in a couple of weeks.
