Between Thor, Hamlet and Wallender, there's a definite Scandinavian theme in Kenneth Branagh's work...

Went to the Target store by my house last night and the toys are on the pegs now. Plus the role playing hammer and helmet. Exposure in the toy isle for the kiddies can't hurt for a few months.

I've gotta hope it does well for the sake of Ashley and Zack, who deserve it and who I'm sure did a bang-up job, but it looks pretty silly.

Indeed. I feel it's going to be one of those movies where I'll laugh when I'm not supposed to.

I'm probably more curious about Thor than any of the other superhero movies, including Green Lantern. If they pull it off, it could be an inspired mix of high fantasy and comic book action. If not, it could be a fascinating train wreck.

Thor was actually one of the characters who first got me hooked on Marvel Comics. Along with the original Kree-Skrull War in AVENGERS, there was this twelve-part storyline involving "Infinity" and Hela that had me haunting my local 7-Eleven every month . . . .

Meh. All the promotional art for this film has been very underwhelming.

I don't like the red in the poster, makes it have a horror film feel to it. I do however like the banner now that I've seen it for the first time.

The red one-sheet sucks, but the banner is good - really arresting.

I agree that the banner looks great!!
I wonder what they are trying to get across though on the head shot with the red overlay?
