Has Disney changed their release strategy for Marvel movies on D+? They did the entire 45 days after theatrical thing right?
That would imply Thor Love And Thunder should drop in about 5 days. But no announcements regarding this.

It is still playing in theatres in some places, so we are still looking at (possibly) another three to four weeks -- or it could drop this week.

Deleted scene with Simon Russell Beale as Dionysus:

It doesn't really add much so I'm glad they omitted it.

But with its release, fingers crossed we'll get to see the deleted scenes with Jeff Goldblum, Peter Dinklage, and Lena Headey, too.

I would have much preferred that to be honest. Give us more time for an intimate Thor/Jane focus which is where the movie's strength was, Portman and Hemsworth were so good. And skip the whole pointless and disappointing "Omnipotence City" detour.

(An entire city of gods and you're only going to give us Russell Crowe doing a pantomime "Greek" accent as scaredy-cat Zeus? Not a single war god was like "Yeah, let's do this!" when Thor says "To hell with hiding"? Bast? Tawaret?)

It would have robbed us of that cool end scene where Zeus gives that monologue on how superheroes have become Modern Gods.

Just finished it. Sweet Zeus that was unhinged.

The majority of dialogue was attempting to land jokes and it got tiresome - I say this as someone who enjoyed Ragnarok. Some of the humor worked (screaming goats were initially funny), but much of it fell flat or drifted into cringe territory.

Music was great, as was Natalie.

Less is more. I'd give it a 2 1/2 out of 5.

I was shocked by how unfunny I found it, considering how much I've enjoyed every other Taika Waititi thing I've watched (including Ragnarok which I rewatched and still really liked.) It felt like a comedy sketch parodying superhero movies, whereas Ragnarok mostly just felt like a funny superhero movie.

I just saw the movie. My wife and her friend found the movie bad, almost as terrible as Ragnarok.
So I prepared myself, and I don't think it is as terrible as Ragnarok. The best parts for me were the Guardians scenes and everything with Jane, which is remarkable because I didn't like her in the other Thor movies. So when Ragnarok is one of the worst Marvel movie, love and Thunder is the the best Thor movie.

They needed to do more with Gorr. They should have shown him kill more Gods. Maybe have him actually attack the God city.

I do think there was some big character moment that got left out of the film in the scene where he was inside talking with the captured kids. Something about that scene really felt like it was building to something important but just never got there. I'd love to see the full version of that conversation (assuming I'm even right about it existing).

The Pitch Meeting for Love and Thunder is great.

I'm presuming Waititi did shoot Goor killing more Gods, and Jane's first transformation but they were cut for, reasons?

I do find it odd that Jane's first transformation was cut. As disappointed as I was by their omission, at least I can understand why the scenes with Peter Dinklage, Jeff Goldblum, and Lena Headey were dropped (but I still hope we get to see them), I'm still hoping against precedence that we'll get a longer cut of the film.

I could understand cutting it if Jane's transformation had been a secret, but Natalie Portman is all over the marketing as Thor! Maybe the film flowed poorly if it was included? Might have been a pacing issue I guess.
