Thor 2 -Movie Discussion, News, Interviews, Pics till release 2013

Cool title. I'm glad they're using subtitles with the Thor and Cap sequels. I hate bland numerical titles.

For some reason, "The Dark World" makes me think of the black galaxy (birthplace of Ego the Living Planet). I doubt they're going there, but it's part of Thor mythos and Marvel cosmic.

More likely that we'll have the Algrim story with Enchantress changing him into Kurse instead of the Beyonder.

This is from the Wiki article about the sequel.

The same month, Feige stated the sequel would "take Thor literally to other worlds" and would "primarily be the journey of that character, of he and Jane Foster and how the new dynamic with his father is working out, as well as what are the broader stakes for The Nine Worlds".

It could be a reference to Svartalfheim, the home of the Dark Elves. Malekith, a member of Thor's rogues gallery, is the king of the Dark Elves.

Seems highly likely. This is an update with a shaker of salt perhaps but if true lends heavy credence to Skywalkers post.
Thanks to a brief chat with Hollywood stunt man James Grogan, we may have our answer. Whilst discussing the importance of acting chops in stunt work, Grogan related the experience to a certain Marvel film that he’s currently training for. “The other day for example, this is quite random but I was working on Thor 2,” he explains, “I had a load of stunt guys in and the director came in and he said ‘Look, we want you all to be elves,’ and I was like ‘What the hell is an elf anyway?’ and he said ‘I want you all to walk around like these supernatural animals,’ honestly it was the most ridiculous thing ever but you just have to not be self aware and get on with it.”

Not to be too fussy, but I'm going to go ahead and assume stunt-people who elves are silly in a post-LOTR, post-Avatar world is already not "self-aware."
