Yeah, I tend to come and go with my posting, but I find the board a good source of genre movie/TV news, have found a few good shows through recommendations, enjoyed the discussions...

I used to come into Misc. a lot more several years ago, but as the posters I enjoyed left I lost interest too. I'm sure whatever new groups have come and gone since were nice and all, just not what I got used to when I first registered.

I also fully admit that I miss the drama of MA. But I doubt that was fun when one was a participant in it, rather than just an observer.

I think all boards as old as this one goes through cycles, though. Those of us who stay around for the long haul can probably vouch for that, and, in its heyday, this place was hot.

Now that Troll Kingdom doesn't target it as often and the Trek shows are off the air, it's calmed down to a nice discussion board.

I appreciate the people, and, although I know there is still some contention (from the usual suspects, myself included), it is a nice place for discussion these days.

I have to say I agree. I have visited a lot of other boards along with this one, and I find it to have a superior group of people who are articulate, open-minded, and have many interests outside of what we all joined for. I believe the modding is second to none, and have run away from many other forums due to the piss-poor modding when compared to TBBS. I have periods when I frequent this place less because it annoys me, and then inevitably return with a lot of affection because there are some godawful forums with godawful posters out there. This is like my warm comfortable little home on the 'net.

A big thank you to the staff for their wonderful work.

Don't get me wrong, some people earn their warnings (not saying you did, I don't know what you were warned for). A lot of people earn a lot more than a warning and don't even get that.
