I am not happy, but until they started talking about endocarditis I wasn't too worried, now i'm all scared and depressed.

I'm sad to hear of your troubles Bob. I hope you get well soon. Keep focused on the future and thinking of all the stuff you intend to do when you're home and well.

Whenever I am ill and feel sad, nothing perks me up more than a nice bowl of garlic and lentil soup, which is full of infection-fighting and strength-rebuilding goodness

Get a phone charger too, and keep it charged. I find with my phone that the battery goes quickly if using mobile internet a lot.

Are you out of the hospital now?

If it does turn out to be endocarditis it'll be 6 weeks minimum, and really don't do well with extended hospital stays.

Ugh, I had to spend over a week in a hospital bed (I couldn't leave the bed) and it drove me crazy. Good luck.
