Things You Didn't Notice In Star Trek Until Years Later

This did cause just a bit of a continuity error for "The Best of Both Worlds" because in part 1 the background characters had the old season 1-2 uniforms while in part 2 everyone had a newer uniform. There's probably ways to explain that away
No, that one is pretty hard to explain, since the change happens right during the cliffhanger. The final scene in part 1 has the extras wearing the old uniforms, then in the opening scene of part 2 they're wearing the new ones, despite the fact they pick up right in the exact same spot part 1 ended.

Oh, yeah, forgot about that.

One of those things where I guess we're just supposed to pretend it was the same uniform (I guess at least the change wasn't huge, the new uniforms were similar).

Or maybe Amazon had finally delivered the new uniforms and the rest of the crew was so excited they stopped what they were doing to change.

"Could you hold on for a sec...my new uniform finally came in and I can't wait to put it on"

Technically, per the Chronology and Stardate assumptions, The Best of Both Worlds straddles New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. If Picard or Starfleet had a hard limit that said "Everyone must wear the new Mark XVII Uniforms by stardate 44000, until then your uniform style may be at your discretion", then the bg players were just procrastinating until the last possible moment.

It could just be "coincidence" that we don't see any of the procrastinators in the opening scenes of BOBW Pt 2, and by the time they appear, there was enough time to change for the next day. Additionally, there is a bit of a time jump (ignore the stardates here) after BOBW and before Family that could help with the uniform switchover for any stragglers.

I never saw Data's yellow eyes until he seemed different in that parallel reality where he had blue eyes XD

I saw the French version of FC - Commandeur Dattá sounded funny.
And commandeur Riehcare, and monsieur Whuorf, saying je suis un Klingon XD

Yeah, that was something I didn't pick up on actually until Nemesis. They looked really yellow there, then when I went back and watched earlier shows and movies I noticed they were actually always yellow.

I noticed the "No Smoking" sign on the bridge simulator at the beginning of TWOK right away. But for years, until I saw a closeup of it ("NO SMOKING AT ANYTIME ON BRIDGE"), I thought it said (echoing an announcement made at the beginning of Laserium shows at Griffith Observatory at the time) "NO SMOKING OF ANYTHING ON BRIDGE."

There are a couple things it took me awhile to get:

- In Picard's ready room, his computer console has a mouse

- The surface of the conference table in Voyager's ready room is one big holographic display

Neither of these things, IIRC, were ever used.

I am fairly sure the TNG briefing room had holographic displays for every chair, but I don't think those were used either.

@The Wormhole: Did you ever get ahold of the CD-ROM tour of the Enterprise-D, hosted by Majel Barrett? That's how I found out about the "head" on the Ent-D's bridge. There's also one in the ready room, next to the replicator console.

"NO SMOKING OF ANYTHING ON BRIDGE."

Well I guess that means they can't order authentic Kansas City barbeque from the replicator. :(

That Troi was wearing contact lenses and that they were supposed to be her alien makeup. As a child I thought her gigantic hair was supposed to be her "alien thing".

The first time I saw her in an interview she looked different and sounded very different; For a moment I wondered if it was the actress who played Deanna or a lookalike.:D
