Things that you would like to see in Star Trek.

More representation with the human race (with regards to where people are from). Hope one day that there is a main character that is from Australia.

That would actually be amazing and please let them keep their accent. So many aussie actors and actresses never use their real voice on shows.

True. I remember another Australian poster (who no longer posts here) called Evan Evagora's character an Australian Romulan on twitter some time ago.

Its like Anna Torv and John Noble on Fringe, great Aussie actors but they've had to americanise their voices for the show.

Anna did a local series here called The Newsreader but even in that she used the same accent she did in Fringe. While I loved the series I felt she could have used her regular voice.

I know this has been talked about to death in many forums on this site, but I would really like to see an origin story of the Borg and that very first Borg that started the whole ball rolling.

That could be interesting, as long as it 100% has nothing to do whatsoever with humans, V'Ger's machine planet, time travelling NX-02s... any time travel whatsoever. In fact, it probably shouldn't seem like a Borg origin story at all, just a bunch of regular alien people getting the augmentations they need for a promotion at work, opting in to wi-fi firmware updates for the sake of convenience... and oops they're all part of a hive mind now.

See that's how I would have written that. I would have set what is for the most part a very ordinary story about people for some reason or another who have the option of technological augmentation as an option in their society that helps them and it's just that one bad day when something goes horribly wrong and a cascading effect of that thing makes the problem worse for their whole world, and that's what starts the ball rolling. No time travel shenanigans or such just an ordinary story that goes wrong.

BTW I did start one of the Borg set in the 1960s on Earth with Borg sleeper agents in Earth's past but I never finished it, but that was a time travel story

Something else I wouldn’t mind seeing: When Section 31 finally goes too far (and is also confirmed to have gone completely rogue), Starfleet Intelligence proper makes it a priority to bring them down — the result is a full on spy war (perfect for a series!).
I hear lots of people ask for a story about the death of Section 31, but this one actually sounds good because SPY WAR! is such a fun concept. Typically stories about destroying Section 31 are moral refutations of the concept, which are deserved but seem like they wouldn't be very fun.

The thing about the “moral refutation” version is that the way that would inevitably go is—

PICARD: At last we have ended Section 31 and saved the Federation’s soul. I’m so proud of you all.

SHADOWY FIGURE IN DARK ROOM SOMEWHERE WITH BIG “SECTION 31” SYMBOL ON THE WALL: Aww, isn’t that adorable he thinks so?

I wouldn't mind either one. I mean, it's just like the moral refutations with the Organians or the Romulans. Doesn't stop them from being beligerent later on.
