Things that frustrate us all

Apparently the numbskulls who run YouTube Music have decided that making a playlist of children's songs to play in your car or school bus is a threatening behavior and has to be stopped.
Wow. That's really stupid. Especially if parents do that to try to help their kids. ‍:brickwall:

Gonna see if the site does this...

It's the YouTube music app, but the site supposedly does the same thing. I just don't playlist kid videos because I don't let students handle my phone.

A new Belgian tv program was so out of touch and pathetic it was downright ridiculous: two Belgian celebrities try to live the lives of two single moms, 1 episode aired, critics, single moms and a few Belgian celebrities all said it was incentive. The new neighbours of the moms said it wasn't genuine because of course reality tv is staged. I saw it, it was shit:

- two entitled Karen's having the audacity to complain about one car that didn't have air-conditioning or parking censors when they where able to buy two cars for 2700€
- the audacity to complain about the house they could rent because it was filthy; ugly and smelly when single moms are most likely to be discriminated when finding an appartement and my best friend who's a cleaner saw more filthy houses and apartments than them
-the inability to drive a lawnmower
- the audacity to complain about walking a lot at a job when there are more annoying things to complain about a job.

Thank fuck it got cancelled after that one episode.

People really need to stop calling Caitlin Clark "Ponytail Pete". It's sexist AND incomprehensible.

Yes, I know who Pete Maravich is. I also know Caitlin is going to blow his record to smithereens any minute now. And I know they called Maravich "Pistol Pete." But I don't fucking care.

Pete Maravich is the all-time leader in scoring in NCAA Division I college basketball.

Caitlin Clark recently became the all-time leader in scoring in Division I women's college basketball (as of last week) and is going to break Maravich's record any minute now.

Fair whack of people who can't deal with that.

My pharmacy has an auto refill program but it sucks. I should've gotten a couple prescriptions refilled a week ago and nothing. Log onto my account online and it shows they still haven't been filled. But I can't manually refill online because they're under the auto refill program. Called into their phone system and entered my prescription numbers that way. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

Ordered some Star Trek books via Amazon marketplace. Very impressed when two parcels turned up the next day.
Both are from the same company but I ordered only one book:. The second is not for me (there are two wrappers and the underwrapper has a different address) so I make the mistake of messaging the company concerned. (You should be aware that I don't have a smartphone or a printer)

Well..so far they have:
- asked me for a photograph of the package and its contents so they can check whether they sent the parcel - the company name and address printed on the label as the return address not being sufficent.
- sent me a code that I can use on my non-existent smartphone with a delivery company who aren't anywhere near me.
- sent me a code that I can use on my non-existent smartphone at the post office
- sent me a return label that I can download on my non-existent printer.

The current state of play is that they suggested I pay the postage to send back the item and they will reimburse me when the item is returned.

I have lost patience and told them that, if they POST me a post-paid label, I will KINDLY go OUT OF MY WAY to post back the book to them.

I was trying to be helpful. I sha'n't bother again.

Ashley DiFelice, the woman who rant the "farm animal sanctuary" Twist of Fate, and was responsible for an absolutely horrendous animal neglect case that lead to the deaths of dozens, possibly even more than a hundred dead animals, and left even more on the verge of death before they were saved, was found guilty, but didn't get anywhere near what she deserves as a sentence.
For starters, even there had to be more than a hundred animals involved in the case, she was only charged with 8 counts, and her sentence was only 60 days of community service, and a $16,000 which is bullshit. The fact that her ass is not spending years in jail is ridiculous. It is nice that it will be on her record that is guilty of animal abuse, she is getting off way to easy. Personally I would love to see her have to pay back the hundreds of thousands of dollars the sanctuaries have had to spend on vet bills and care for the survivors from TOF, and spend at least a few years in jail.

The justice system is broken, look at what happened here a few years ago https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Sanda_Dia. You read that right, no cel for those wankers, all because they were able to afford good lawyers
Unbelievable.

Another case of lenient justice too

Hes not even in prison, he's back in the UK and allowed to continue playing, no doubt he will appeal and get a more lenient sentence

Wow, I thought that kind of crap only happened in the US.
The kind of sad thing with Ashley Di Felice is that she's also possibly up for federal fraud charges because she continued to fundraise after losing her 501(c)3, and that will end having a much stronger sentence than killing dozens of animals. And it's also worth keeping in mind that these were all pigs, goats, horses, sheep, cows and other farm animals, rather than dogs & cats.
And last but not least, all of the money that she fundraised, she used on herself, going on vacations and things like that instead of using on the animals like she was supposed.
This is Ashley & her fiance

And she is or was also facing child endangerment charges because this is what the inside of the house they were living in looked like.

So basically she is a fucking horrible person.

A friend of mine is about to retire.
Never thought I would say this but if I had the chance I would take retirement in a heartbeat.[...]
Unfortunately being only 58 I have a bit to go yet.:brickwall:
Same here. I turn 60 in a few weeks but have to work till 67.
Bought a cheap and somewhat crappy measuring tape, took it apart, reassembled it the other way round and use it as a countdown. Every day I snip off a cm. Only 26.2 m to go (2620 days). Sounds way better than "7 years" :D
