Things that frustrate us all

Move to Germany! We need skilled workers, particularly teachers. Greencard no prob and very good working conditions and social services. Mandatory health insurance (what Obama tried to implement), a minimum of 4 weeks vacation per year (most people get 30 days) and if you get fired, you must be given notice 3 months ahead. Minimum wages are around 18 USD per hour atm, I believe, but that is what an unskilled worker would be paid.
Plus: Germany is the country with both the most sorts of sausage and bread/rolls in the world. Not to mention yummy cookies and chocolates.

Alas, we also have our share of idiots: the lane where I live is a one way. There's a woman who bicycles through, wrong way, every morning with a little girl on the backseat. Told her she's risking not only her life but that of her child. Reply: "so what? We'll make another one."
So much stupidity, heartlessness and plain idiocy leaves me speechless.:brickwall::brickwall::brickwall: (But I know a few cops and shall give them a tipoff. She may not have a heart or brain, but she'll feel pain in her purse allright )

I really hate my current situation: there is not enough work to do on my work and last month I was almost the entire month furloughed because of it. I can't go to the place where you find a job because I'm not unemployed, and I can't go to a job coach because it's expensive and to get a cheaper price I have to work for 7 years in general, but I work 3 years now and I can't do a disabled job search procedure because I'll probably end up in the same area of expertise which I am now.

I just started a job search guided by a social assistant, but holy shit she has the empathy of a dung beetle. I was complaining about the work insecurity about my job, and that last year I almost ended up broke and you know what she said? "But life is full of insecurity and the only secure thing is that I get my unemployment money."

I was like: bitch did you even listen to me? Last year I had NO financial security, *I* had to sell my e step, *I* had to eat spaghetti for a week because it was the only thing I could afford, *I* had gotten reminders of unpaid utilities because I was broke and *I* was the one who had to ask to pay my rent later because I hadn't had money at the time.

She should do some voluntary work in a homeless centre, maybe it will give her some empathy. I'm really pissed! she and the agency she's working for are going to get an angry email.

Messing up our monthly date night.

Last night we went out for a drink and meal. Had a couple of drinks went to restaurant. Everything going great, had starters and then went to the bathroom which was upstairs. Coming back down no idea what happened but I just ended up smashing myself flat against the stairs. I don't know if just lost footing or slipped, never done anything like it before.

My first reaction was no one saw thank god. Then as got up realised I felt really sore but not too bad. Gets back to table, tell my wife what happened and we even laugh about it as I seem ok.

Within a few minutes I feel awful, all my energy sapped, can hardly lift my head, not sure if I want to be sick or cry, just felt awful. We had to ask for our meals to be boxed and jumped in a taxi to get me home. I'm asleep as soon as I'm in bed and sleep almost the entire night, when I wake up I feel exhausted and go straight back to sleep.

This morning I'm ok not bruised but bottom of my back feels sore but that's it.

Don't know what made me feel like I did, either being winded badly or maybe a bit of delayed shock.

Really odd experience.

Maybe you should get checked out just to be safe. A relative of mine went through something similar and it turned out to be a mild stroke.

I hope you’re OK and everything’s fine, but I agree with @Gary Mitchell that that sounds like something you might want to get checked out.

You might want to get a doctor to check you out. Feel better.

Thanks , actually got my appointment this week with my Consultant (I have a blood cancer) so going to discuss with him. More chance of finding lord lucan than getting a doctor's appointment in the UK.

Dang, dude. Take care of yourself. I hope you make a speedy recovery.

It may be difficult to get an appointment but at least you won't have to sell your house to pay the doctor.

There ought to be a virus that gives morons, criminals and dangerously lunatic politicians such a bad and painful rash that all they can do is stay at home in bed!

@SithHappens the fall could have been caused by the blood cancer meds.
Were you feeling cold? That could support your delayed shock theory but the symptoms would also fit internal haemorrhage. A doc should have a look instantly, just in case.
If you have a headache, dizziness or even the slightest problem seeing properly you should also go to the next hospital asap. You could have a concussion.
