Poor Gary
It's perhaps the Paracetamol it contains. It's been known to cause headaches instead of curing them.
Have you tried lemon peel yet? It's an old remedy I discovered in a Georgette Heyer novella of all sources. Works nicely, though: you just put a slice of fresh lemon peel on your forehead or temple (a squeezed out lemon half will do just as well). I was very sceptical at first but in despair one is ready to try everything, so I tried it out on a sinus headache with surprising results. It's nicely cooling and refreshing like peppertmint oil but far less aggressive on the eyes and skin. For me it also works with tension headaches and minor migraines, but everyone has different headaches and a different organism so that not everything works for everyone. Still, it might be worth the try (unless you are allergic to citrus oil/fruit, of course).
Small comfort but I've a migraine, too, since 3 am this morning. It's the approaching low pressure area, I suppose (the forecast predicts rain for tomorrow). So far it's only a 4 on a 1-10 scale - not strong enough to make it to 'argh of the day'
