Things that frustrate us all

Yeah it's weird. After slipping almost into complete obscurity, Crocs have come back in a big way. I had some of the "heavy duty" kind for a hot minute. But they got kind of gross. I'd love to know how they got so popular again. Sounds like a marketing team I'd like to work for!
I never saw them go away.

At least around here (Pacific Northwest) there was always a trend for them.

When (especially local) news reporters begin a story or come back from video with "Now..."

Next time you watch the local news, listen for it. You'll never unhear it.

Why is it that the battery for a Ford Transit van is located under the driver's seat? Why not under the passenger seat?

Had to take the front seat out of the van in order to get to the battery. Took two mechanics to do it.

Bad engineering on the part of Ford.

Same here in Hawaii. Heck, I’ll confess to owning two pair of them myself. *ducks for cover*

(Good for on dive boats and for driving. I can’t drive in ‘slippers’ (flip-flops), just feels unsafe.)

Cheers,

One of my local channels insists on attempting unwanted stand-up comedy while filling up valuable airtime with engrossing bits on escaped zoo animals. Basically they're glorified weather channels with promised updates five or ten minutes from now.

But even the national news keeps repeating ''we want you to watch this''.........which always makes me reply to the TV ''I don't care what you want.'' Then they keep warning us how disturbing their blurred-out videos are.

Another national news peeve: they feel any good news should only be saved for their final three minutes.

“Here’s a three-minute feel-good story to end on a positive note and take your mind off all the misery and sorrow you’ve watched over the past 30 minutes, so hopefully you’ll tune in again tomorrow instead of doing something not soul-crushing!”

Is there a word to describe a driver who has to park backward in a parking space no matter what and always ends up botching the parking job?

Actually, whenever possible, I always back my truck into a parking space.

But they are always accurate because I take the care to do it properly within the lines.

Plus, if you have any engine trouble, easier for access for a mechanic, jumper cables with another car, etc.

(Also, I've found drivers in Florida DO NOT bother to allow people to back out. No patience or consideration on the road or parking lots down here.)
