Things that frustrate us all

Shopping (of any sort) during the holiday season… *Ugh*

Cheers,
-CM-

Amazon has made Christmas SOOO much easier for me. Haven't had to step into a shop at Christmas time for a long, long time. Until this week

We went to pick up computer parts for my Mom-- hubby is an IT guy so he's going to upgrade her old computer-- and the crowd at the store was insane. I forgot how bad Christmas shopping can be.

My current gripe -- back pain. Just out of the blue, I've having back pain. Stretches, pain killers, elevating my feet--none of it helps.

Getting old BLOWS

Reverse parking sensors and camera.Never thought I would get used to them but now when I drive my daughters car(which doesn’t have them)...oh boy!

This is an update for those people who saw my post in this thread about my child in the USA and their visa problems.

Said child is on their way home and will be arriving later today. NOT deported but as their spouse has been arrested for domestic battery (and also took the money I provided to buy ketamine) I think we can safely say that my child no longer qualifies (or would want to qualify) for a USA visa. Obviously the whole situation's very worrying and I am feeling pretty awful at the minute. Just thankful child is safe.

So sorry to hear that they're going through that, @Victoria , but glad that they are safe. Best wishes to both of you.

It's really annoying when you get stuck at a red light forever, when there are no other cars anywhere nearby. My mom and I have run into that several times when we're out early in the morning when we're heading out to the different places we walk the dogs.

That's horrible, especially when the light is sensor activated and you failed to trigger it. If it's in the wee hours, you might be there for awhile.

I wish YouTube didn't coddle us so much. Is it really hard for them to tell you that you can't comment on a given video? Instead, they give you a carefully generated illusion that your statement is there, but no one can see it but you.

And I miss being able to Dislike it when someone says something really disgusting.

So, definitely will have to budget one holding tank drain a month, instead of one every 4-6 months like I had done. I don't know how that's even possible that the old owners did it so rarely. Guess they were shitting in buckets and tossing it in the river like the holding tank guy said. And I've even been really careful about water use. I don't have any of the records for it don't even know the capacity. There were records I saw them during the during but they didn't leave them.

Alarm still didn't go off guess it doesn't work. Will have to look more into it. More unexpected expenses.

I really don't like it when I'm merging onto the freeway and the vehicle in front of me is still going 35.

That's crazy. How big is the holding tank?

I don't know. They had the records when I did the showing but didn't leave them so I don't remember. It's not big, but still...

I'm really shocked. I don't get it. I have been so exacting when it comes to water going down the drain. New ultra low flow dual flush toilet, five min showers (advantage of no hair) eco mode dishwasher only running when full, I even started dumping water from cooking into the driveway so it runs into the ditch instead of down the drain. I have put things to catch water under every tap to see if something is dripping I don't know about, and Nada.

I really hope it was the water softener switch. That maybe they had to drain and cycle it a bunch. And I did a lot of laundry, pulling out my winter clothes that all needed washing and extra bedding/towels because I didn't know if the house sitter used them or not. Plus more use for Christmas - extra showers and more dishes. Still...

I can afford it. I'm not paycheque to paycheque. It's just I need to cut monthly discretionary spending and savings. Still don't know real heating costs yet because of how warm it's been (thanks El Nino).

I have a rare hate in my heart for people who drive super slow. Like, you went through the trouble of getting in your vehicle and apparently have some destination in mind... but it's much more important to just, not actually drive and make me lose my mind behind you.

Having recently struck a deer, sadly you and I will probably not get a long because I am a slower drier right now due to some anxiety lol

I do understand, and certainly get frustrated, though I equally get frustrated at people up here in the winter doing 20 over the speed limit on snow and ice.

Slow driving can be frustrating, but depends how slow. Those driving super slow on a Sunday afternoon or Friday/ Saturday evening I'd pull over and breathalise if I was the police.

Worse is slow driving in overtaking lanes on motorways. Likewise unless its clear overtaking then it would be another reason I'd stop you if I was the police.

Everything in context. Like... just at least do the speed limit? I can't be angry at you there.

My commute to work is a very long, one lane road cutting through mostly countryside. The speed limit varies from 25-55... people consistently go like, 10 under... EVEN in the 25. Just... casually driving with not a care in the world.

Or what they do is even better, they turn onto the road, cutting me off... absolutely HAVING to be in front of me, just to slam on the brakes and then go 10 under the speed limit.

Here most people drive 5-10 miles over the speed limit, and if you try to drive the speed limit, you piss everyone else off, and practically get your ass run over.
