Theory on the Monks

I get the desire for this not to have been a waste of three episodes but yeah, it was a waste of three episodes.
 
It's a shame it didn't hold any fruit. Was a great fan theory though.

That's sort of always been the problem with Moffat's storytelling -- fans come up with better answers to Moffat's questions than Moffat does. There were some truly interesting theories on why Clara existed in many different times -- my favorite was that Oswin escaped the Asylum aboard the TARDIS and became a shapeshifting humanoid Dalek -- that I found preferable to Clara fragmenting herself throughout the Doctor's timeline.

Yeah, for a guy that says timey-whimey, it was astonishing the Doctor never once thought, "Hey, time travel." I hated the impossible girl storyline.

And it's sad that the Monks basically were nothing particularly interesting. So, it's great that Moffat is wrapping up, Chibnall is unlikely to pick up this Monk monster as anything reoccurring.
