The Walking Dead Season 6 Discussion

You guys know we ALSO have to blame Darryl , who was with him, and knew about the backpack as well. He obviously didn't stop to ask "Hey Aaron, you should show him the photos of Alexandria" to Morgan.

If Darryl forgot too, we can't be too harsh on Aaron.

Can anyone find a map that shows Alexandria in relation to Noah's neighborhood and the Wolf trap?

Some WD fans were calling for Father Gabriel to be killed just because he left the gate open in the season 5 finale
I wasn't one of them
The writers/director was telegraphing causation thanks to Aaron's practice of using ASZ photos as part of the recruitment package.
He didn't know any better. This is a group of people who were inept. Judging one of them harsher than the others, who were/are just as inept is unjust. The ends does not justify the means. By that I mean what did happen is no more reason for condemnation than what could have happened at the hands of the other Alexandrians from their unpreparedness. You're blaming Aaron more, because more happened as a result, but just as much COULD have happened by the actions & inactions of the others, but didn't. They are all equally culpable for their choices. Aaron's just happened to yield more unfortunate consequences, when the others' didn't so much

Nicholas, Aiden (in dialogue) and the construction crew (attempting to leave Francine, as seen on screen) leaving people behind is pure guilt--but even that does not compare to what the wolves did to ASZ,
But Nicholas & Aiden's transgression is comparable to Aaron's oversight, worse even, because it was a gutless act, whereas Aaron's was just stupid. We're talking about intent here. The bloody results are not the issue

You were not, but the extremist wish for Gabriel's death was there after he left that gate open. Either characters are responsible for their actions, or they are not.

Its unjust to speculate about what could happen due to the others' ineptitude, when you had a real disaster happening because of the actions of one of the residents.

New episode:

Okay, who were the would-be ambush team--the Wolves? We know they are in the general area after the ASZ attack, but "Wayne" and the others did not appear as disheveled as the Wolves. I'm sure most WD fans believe they are part of Negan's group, since its been suggested he will make his debut at the end of this season.

The youngest member of the trio was a diabetic. Did their supply of insulin come from that group in pursuit? I guess that does not matter since she thought burned bodies were dead....after living that long in the ZA?

Nice callback to the prison era with Daryl's questions, and his matter-of-fact promise to the duo that they will be sorry.

So, Abraham was pretty much suicidal--or did not care. We know his sole reason to live before was the Eugene mission, but with that long over, he's finding a new lease on life. Not even referencing the comic, season5 left the impression that troubled waters were on the way between Abraham & Rosita. I don't think last week's scene with Spencer & Rosita was misdirection, and now that Abraham is clearly shifting his affections to Sasha, I don't expect that relationship to last much longer.

Pretty good episode, I'm sure we've now been introduced to "The Saviors." Though, I'm not clear on what happened there at the end with (Dwight?) and Daryl.

The "help" on the radio, Glenn?

. I"m saying that

Don't turn it around. I'm not speculating about anything. I'm saying actions & inaction should not be merely judged by the result but by the intent, & Aaron was not the only one of his group who had naïve intentions, & acted stupidly. You assess his transgression as it applies to his situation. They were ALL dumb like him, & everybody knew it, but accepted them anyhow

Anyhow... more whackos. Who's running this nutsquad, General Zod? Who wants people to kneel? Why is that a thing? lol

C'mon. What could you possibly be getting from that?

Darryl's captor reminded me of Rick, anyone else? Does Darryl have a backup crossbow? It's not the same without it.

EDIT: Don't know where I got the idea that Daryl had two r's...

I imagine that we will see the couple again--in some fashion--and Daryl will get it back. I also imagine that they will really, REALLY regret what they did.

I listened to the end of the episode again a few times. I now do not believe that was Glenn calling for help. Maybe it was the couple that made off with Daryl's gear.

My first thought was that it was Rick saying "Don't..." As in don't approach Alexandria because of the current mess.

The only way into ASZ is the underground sewer tunnel--if a path to that gate has not been overrun. I hope getting in does not become a major plot point.

In any case, next week is the big Rick/Michonne/Morgan conversation about the best way to live. With only two episodes of 6A left, something has to be reaching a boiling point. Then, there's the threat of this new group--and wolves in the area.

Interesting, it looks like we've already met the next comic book antagonists. I never expected Dwight to be met in this way, but it's an interesting backstory setup, especially for comic readers. For those who do, they know how Dwight will be punished.

That's what I thought at first too, but it would seem as though people have figured out it was definitely "help." Gotta be Glenn, right?

This week clearly set up things to come:

The Saviors, most definitely since the casting of Negan was strategically announced just a few days prior to this episode's airing.

Glenn's voice calling for help, you bet.

The fuel truck and RPGs? That's how Glenn will be rescued from wherever the hell he is.

Well, we'll find out eventually...

Meanwhile, Daryl gets jacked by two girls and schoolteacher and Abraham puts the moves on Sasha.

I think they're starting to run out of story to tell on this, the longest damn day of the series...
