The Walking Dead Season 6 Discussion

Honestly I think killing Daryl would have a bigger impact. Rick is the star but Daryl is the most popular character.

Since the actor portraying Dwight is a semi-regular for S7, and he's been established as a nemesis for Daryl, I do not see Reedus leaving the series right now. The line up still has enough important characters that would cause great emotional chaos for characters and audience members. I'm leaning toward Michonne, Abraham or Maggie. Yes, everyone thinks Glenn will follow his comic path, but this series has completely flipped and swapped character deaths from the beginning (think Dale, Bob, Tyreese and Hershel's deaths), so would not be shocked to see that happen with comic-Glenn's fate dropped on someone else.

I'm still betting on Michonne. I don't buy this actors-are-seen-on-set stuff. Maybe in their contracts they have to do this if asked (come back for some confuse-a-fan appearances). Maybe she's shooting flashbacks. But I think her.

We can only guess who dies, but in a recent interview, Norman Reedus promises:

Kimberly Potts: I know you can’t say much, but you know how shocked fans were by The Walking Dead Season 6 finale, what their reaction to it was. So, having filmed the continuation of that story, what do you predict the reaction will be to the Season 7 premiere?

Reedus: More shock. Definitely more shock. Oh, yeah. Shock and tears.

Kimberly Potts: The show often offers up a little bit of levity even in the most dire circumstances. Is there one single thing that will make us laugh in the season premiere?

Reedus: Not one thing. I mean, I can’t think of anything in there that’s going to make you laugh. No, I’m guessing not. I’m guessing no laughter.

I don't think Reedus is just baiting the audience. He promised tears for the mid-season finale of 5--and that paid off with the end of Beth's arc, so audiences should take him at his word. This time, I believe he's not just talking about the victim of the season 6-ending beating, but many throughout season 7.
