Well, that's enough plot spoilers of unaired episodes outside of spoiler tags for me - unsubscribe to thread.

I haven't be able to find one for episode 8. I think that they've totally shelved Darabont's idea.

    - edit -

Ok...I just found one for episode 8

After the destruction of his family, Herschel demands that Rick and his group leave immediately. Shane and Rick's differences begin to openly erupt.

Ah, OK. Me and my suspicious mind, thinking something was up with Episode 8, since it had been left out :alienblush:

Well, I'm not familiar with the books. I just like the way things have been going at the farm. I think the old man is an interesting character and I like Glen's girlfriend.

I haven't been looking at the spoilers in this thread, but there are stories about two very interesting casting developments that I've stumbled across today and even though I still don't want to read any spoilery responses :rommie: I'll share them with yall and then run away and hide.

    Possible addition:

JOHN HAWKS!?!?! Good gort, what a casting coup that would be! Would he even do TV?

    Possible (highly speculative) deletion:

John Bernthal is rumored to be up for the lead in Frank Darabont's TNT series in development, LA Noire. It would be nice to think with the short seasons, Bernthal could do two cable series, but if he has to choose, and as much as I love Shane, I really do wanna see Bernthal do Darabont's new series. I can't think of any TV actor today who looks more like he stepped right off the pages of a Raymond Chandler novel, not even if the reincarnation of Humphrey Bogart showed up at Darabont's front door.

Maybe they could move Shane to recurring status after his zombiefication. He would be an awesome zombie! :rommie: Maybe he and Otis could team up.

And he's done plenty of other television work, too.

I remember him from The Perfect Storm. Not sure on his range. Who ever plays that character will need A LOT of range.

I LOVED him in Deadwood and Winter's Bone. Not sure if he would commit to a series, now that his film career is heating up.

eta: Just read on SyFy that he will NOT be doing the part, so the role is still up for grabs.

The trailer for this Sunday's episode already implies that Herschel is leaving the farm [ I'd assume upset over the Zombie kill fest at the barn.

Any other speculation on what might happen based on the previews?

Herschel: "You people killed my wife!"
    Rick: "She was already dead!"
Herschel: "Well, you ... you ... killed her even worse!"
    Zombie: "I'm not dead."
Herschel: "She says she's not dead."
    Rick: "Yes she is."
    Zombie: "I'm not."
    Herschel: "She isn't."
Rick: "Well, she will be soon, she's very ill, plus she has large gunshot wounds."
    Zombie: "I'm getting better."
Rick: "No you're not, you'll be stone dead after Shane gets through with you."
Zombie: "I think I'll go for a walk."
Rick: "You're not fooling anyone, you know. See why we call them walkers?"
Zombie: "I feel happy. I feel happy."

I didn't mind that they stayed at the farm. It was the fact that the story was so stagnant. Week after week of looking for a fairly unimportant character got old. As long as the story picks up the pace, I'm happy for them to stick around a while longer.
