The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

Ryan Cogler wanted to get away from franchises for a bit and just make a movie that stands on its own called Sinners. But now that it's a box office hit and critical success..... franchise time!

We could use some new franchises. Are current ones are getting older and more creeky. Like us the fans.

Not a reboot reboot but rather a living life reboot. Clint Eastwood wants to make another movie. Probably doesn't want Warner anywhere near it.
