Spoilers The Ships of Lower Decks

It's clearly a reference to Lin-Manuel Miranda, who famously played Alexander Hamilton, one of the Fathers of the Constitution.
Yep, it's a stretch. I was puzzling how to make it work with the naming scheme and about to give up when it struck me. An epiphany! Serendipity! Synchronicity! Dumb luck!

So.. Question there are 4 holes on the bottom of the saucer.
What is in them?
Sensor pits like voyager?
Some more inserted apartment windows?
Place to put ur fingers in when ur flying around ur living room?

So far, we haven't seen where the shuttles emerge from, right? The indoors animations suggest exit doors on the vertical walls, the MSD suggests a parking lot at the aft part of the saucer, and the exterior has hatch-like features on the aft quarters, at the termination points of the superstructure prongs. But a "support ship" might need lots of logistics openings, and the saucer bottom could feature shafts into which the shuttles can dive, subsequently choosing a vertical inner hatch for accessing a parking lot...

They do remind me of the sensor modules on Voyager, yes. But I also suppose they could be like plug-in slots for mission specific modules like a Reliant style rollbar or cargo units.

That's just as likely an explanation, yes.

Some one did a graphic, probably in the Cerritos thread showing that the pylons and the bumps don't line up.
Yes, I believe @Michael did. It doesn't line up at least as a straight line.
Yeah, a couple pages back in this same thread. :)

I kinda wonder if letting the tips of the pylons peeking through the saucer was how those bumps original got introduced in the design process, but they later decided to change the pylons without eliminating the grey boxes on the top. I like that some fan renderings immediately interpret them as photon-torpedo launchers.

IDK how accurate it is, but here's a nice 3D look.

That's pretty sweet. Would be nice if they decided to let the ship itself cameo on one of the live action shows.

The only show close to 2380 (at this point) is Picard. Maybe an old California class being used as a freighter or space casino (come to Quark's, Quark's is fun, don't walk, run!)? Or a flashback?

Could also theoretically show up in Short Trek or even Discovery, considering timeline-wise they are now after everything.

I've made them torpedo launchers in my model, but will change whenever they show torpedo's launching from.. whereever..

My guess was the 2 door-looking areas in the back. I really can't see how the MSD and the actual rear of this ship match up, but it shows shuttles in the rear of the saucer.

Landing legs like on the Connie saucer

Why are they inset? Why are there inset areas?? Inset areas are not teh real Trek!

This ridiculing or criticism of differing/dissenting opinions really should stop. Happening all over these boards.
