You haven't missed much by not seeing Round Numbers, btw. Good to see Kate, that's not what I mean, but the story and dialogue in this bad-excuse for a movie really makes me wonder how it ever got to the screen in the first place. It is really, really bad. Ugh!
 
I agree, even though there are a few good Kate scenes and she is the star. This movie went direct to disc and it's not surprising. Daddy is hard to watch because of Kate's character. Even Kate hates the character.

Yeah. Definitely not one of her more sympathetic character roles, to be certain. I found myself in a strange quandary, liking Kate so much, yet not finding alot to 'like' about the role she played in this film. It felt strange and I think that's what made it hard to watch.
 
If one just want to watch Round Numbers just to see Kate naked, etc., one should watch it. But if one is expecting a good story, plot, etc., one shouldn't watch it. I agreed it was a bad story, but least it showed Kate naked more than any other movie before. ;)

As for Daddy, as I had mentioned, I don't think any Kate fan would like to watch that movie given the story. Kate's character isn't likable from what she had done to her husband and children, and it isn't any wonder why Kate hated it, given how much she loves her children and family. The character is almost a complete opposite of Kate herself.

Anyway.... I had just updated the Station, and this week I have added screen-caps from the S2 VOY episode "Alliances".

If you think Kate's character is hard to watch in Daddy, you should definitely stay away from For Love & Glory. Her character is a total bitch in that!! :eek:
 
^^^ Really? That bad? Wow. I haven't yet seen For Love & Glory. Does the story fit why Kate's character was a big bitch or, like Daddy, they made her a bitch without any good reasons what-so-ever?

For those, who don't know, Daddy is a TV-movie adaption of the novel, written in 1984 or 85, by Danielle Steel. I have been told by some Kate fans, who have read the novel, that the novel least explained some sound reasoning why Kate's character, named Sarah, did what she did. I haven't read the novel, and when I first saw the movie, I say, "God! Sarah is a real selfish bitch! She doesn't seem to care at all for her husband and children!" No sound reasoning what so ever in why she did it. So if anyone, like me, ever see the movie first, you'll see it the same way as I do, given I had no knowledge from the novel that the character really suppose to act differently. This is why I asked whether Kate's character in For Love & Glory least was shown *why* she is a bitch. If they just shown her just being one just for the heck, I don't think I would like For Love & Glory anymore than Daddy.

Yup, she even gives someone a whipping! And attacks her husband with a poker, but the dude was shagging the servants. :lol:
 
And doesn't she whip Avery Brooks (Ben Sisko) in Roots the Gift, where he is a freed slave and she is a bounty hunter!

They kissed as part of a play reading in Denver several years ago. It was a long kiss and Kate laughed after it was over and said DeLancie was incorrigible! He and Kate are very close friends in real life, pre-dating Voyager by many years, actually since before they had kids.

I have watched The Q and the Grey just a second ago. A nice episode with much very funny lines in it :lol:

^^My God, Kate looks so cute in those photos. Her face looks beautiful and those costumes look mighty purdey.

Although I don't think anyone could top Hepburn's Tracey Lord, I bet Kate was really great. I'd have loved to see her do the sweet drunken Tracey bit. :D

P.S- Anyone else think that the lady playing Tracey's mother looks like Kate too?
