I don't think we were ever officially told her middle name or even given a hint about it (like initials). Unless it showed up on an LCARs screen that most wouldn't have been payed attention to...

"M" as the middle initial seems to be widely accepted in fanfiction (thus the "Marie" showing up often). Where that came from, I don't know. Maybe one of the books said it. Elizabeth probably comes in at a close second (possibly just because it sounds good with Kathryn)

Either wouldn't surprise me. Elizabeth, Ann, and Marie are the most common female middle names in the english by a mile.
