The Seven Doctors?

there's a report in today's Sunday Mirror that this year's CiN special will reunite all 7 living Doctors...

now, where's my salt bag...

does that include rose's copy and donna? or just the 7 different regenerations?

is the mirror even a realiable paper? isn't that a tabloid?

that would be Baker, Davison, Baker, McCoy, McGann, Eccleston and Tennant.

it's a might more reliable than the Scum or the Star. and yes, it is a tabloid, but that doesn't mean they're automatically wrong.

Though in this case they are. There is no Special this year. You might see the actors poppping up to hand over a cheque but that'll be it.

Coop, while I don't disagree with you, I have to point out that you have been extraordinarily quick and blunt about being the "expert" on any possible multi-Doctor agenda, as well as any future storyline rumors. I understand that pretty much 99% of everything we read about Who in the news these days is speculative fiction. However, you seem to have a sort of personal gripe or motive in making it your mission to shoot down any and every discussion concerning said rumors and speculation. Are you just trying to be thorough and help out unassuming fanboys from getting their hopes up? Or is it something else?

Would anyone object to this being done in animation?

Something like the Star Wars Clone Wars on the Cartoon Network perhaps.
there is scope for an animated series, we have seen it done, I would not be against seeing it done again, hopefully with longer episodes.

Like I mentioned in the Series 5 thread, my friend who knows various people down Cardiff way (quite rightly) won't tell me what is going to happen, but he will shoot down the stuff that isn't.

(And I do fully appreciate the irony of me being basically the anti-matter universe version of the type of person who claims to have insider knowledge with no proof to back it up!)

I only bring up animation as a way to use all the doctors (including the dearly departed) without having to explain why various incarnations look so different. Plus it would be less taxing on those incarnations that haven't kept so fit over the years.

Surely there are voice impersonators that could do good jobs at 1, 2 and 3.

"Children In Need-themed scene" usually means unfunny comedy sketch, so I think we'd be better off with nothing in that case.

While I would love to see the seven surviving Doctors together, two things impede that (well, two obvious things): The aging and its affects on the Baker boys and, and this is the big one in my mind, Moffat's love affair with Peter Davison and the Fifth Doctor and his less than stellar regard for the other classic Doctors.

whatever we get on CiN this year, I dont think it will be the 7 Doctors, that said I wouldnt mind some more of the 5th Doctor, Time Crash worked well, him & Tennant worked well together.

Can't imagine they'd be able to get Eccleston back, either.

Please, throw enough money at him, and Eccleston will be back.

Say that to his face and he'd be likely to beat the crap out of you. :)

OK, he can do it for free and the money can be thrown at charity instead. He would do it for charity wouldn't he? I remember him doing video diaries from Africa or somewhere for children in need a year or two back....

You know, that's not a bad idea! I can almost imagine a Doctor Who anthology animated series. A given story might feature any of the Doctors. :)

so there will DEFINITELY not be a christmas special this year? i don't understand why this is still not confirmed as it's only a few months to christmas. >_< can anyone shed a light on this? an actual report or such?

there is a Christmas special. it was trailed at the end of Journey's End.

the question we're discussing is whether there's going to be a charity special like Time Crash.
