The Seven Doctors?

there's a report in today's Sunday Mirror that this year's CiN special will reunite all 7 living Doctors...

now, where's my salt bag...

There is no CIN Special this year.

There was a competition to win a visit to Upper Boat. It's possible that the 7 actors will turn up to present the cheque for the money raised from this.

Even if we don't get to see the seven Doctors reunited onscreen in drama I'd still get a kick out of seeing the actors together. Still, Eccleston, how likely is it? *Goes to get some chips to use some of captcalhoun's salt*

Doctor Ten: (Seeing #4) Wait a minute. Was I really that --
Doctor Four: Really what?
Doctor Eight: Err...
Doctor Nine: *sulkily hands four a mirror and turns head*
Doctor Four: Oh my! No, no, we weren't --
Doctor Seven: Spatial warping --
Doctor Six: Dimension warping --
Doctor Four: Right, right -- spatial warping; dimension warping. It distorts images, you know.
Doctor Five: *perks up* I look pretty good, distotion or no!

sadly true, why the press even bother I dont know.

Damnit, don't give up my hopes like that! :scream: :p

I, too, would love even a public appearance with all of the living Doctors together.

It's telling that they say "Seven Dr Who actors" not "Seven Doctor Whos", since we'd heard that this year's DW element to CiN was goin to be some sort of tour of the studio (with the competition winner)- so I think it'll be more a guest shot from the actors, maybe a song like the newsreaders do, or just a group appeal...

As much as I truly enjoyed "The Three Doctors," "The Five Doctors" and "The Two Doctors," when I think of a seven-Doctor story, I think of something like this...

Power Rangers - Forever Red

After a point it becomes a little absurd. :p

I agree that it would be fun to see each of the Doctor actors reprise his role -- especially Tom Baker and Paul McGann -- but all seven in a single story? Isn't that a bit much?

Especially if it's as short as the first Christmas in Need special.
I would love to see a 7 Doctor CiN special, but they would need to at least double or triple the length.

LOL.

Oh dear.

I remember Power Rangers when it first started, over here anyway. I was 11 or 12 or something. It was shite then.

Anyway, back on track.

Im glad there isnt a seven Doc story confirmed. As much i enjoyed Time Crash, and Moffat was a genius to write all the explanation and stuff aswel as an entertaining light story, and he would do a good job on 9 Docs but, for the running time that CiN Who is always given i doubt itll do it justice.

But, it would be coooooool.

I'm rather against this, since I think trying to explain all the age and size differences from two or three decades going by would get old (pun intended).

The SMART way to do this would be to have the current Doctor interacting with his past selves via telephone or telepathy or something, so that they can't be seen, or at best be seen through a hazy CG filter. This was done recently in an audio adventure, where a "recording" of the fourth Doctor (played by that Dead Ringers bloke) was heard centuries later by (I believe) the eighth Doctor.

I would credit Moffat with coming up with a creative way to hear or see previous Doctors without aging them for the purposes of the segment, as he did in "Time Crash". I'm generally against fanwank for the sake of seeing old fogey again. It works on occasion, but we just HAD a Doctor meetup. I'd rather not do it again so soon.

I disagree with that statements, its been almost a year since Time Crash, and Jounerys End doesn't really cut it as a multi doctor story for me & Time Crash was only a 7 minute story.

Of course we dont know how "The Next Doctor" will work out, but assuming it ISNT a multi Doctor story, besides its not like it will feature any of the Classic Doctors, I think whatever happens its not going to be too soon for an appearance by a Classic Doctor, in whatever form that takes.

Would anyone object to this being done in animation?

Something like the Star Wars Clone Wars on the Cartoon Network perhaps.
