The Secret Circle! Is this show any good?

Looking for new things to watch and wondering if this show is any good or is it just like Charmed (later seasons) with more teen angst aka typical WB opps CW type show with teenagers?

Watch the Vampire Diaries instead, the first few episodes are not that great, but after episode 8 it starts kicking ass and gets even better in season 2. Season 3 is also great so far.
And before you ask, no, it's not a Twilight clone, it's a well written series with great characters and more action and blood than you'd expect to se on a CW show. Yeah, there' a human/vampire love story, but it's not insufferable ... It's not great either, but unlike Twilight's it doesn't stink.

I have high hopes for The Secret Circle, it's from the same people who produce the Vampire Diaries, but so far it's mediocre (Except for Natasha Henstridge, Gale Harold and Ashley Crow, the adult characters are great, the show should be about them) I still watch it because VD started out mediocre too, but I wouldn't recommend it at the moment.

I think it is pretty good and now starting to pick up pace a bit.

I've been enjoying Secret Circle. It's got an interesting premise, cool setting, good (and sexy) cast, and there have been a few nifty plot twists in the few episodes that have aired.
