But the original post doesn't even mention the new book and it's possible the original poster doesn't even know about it, so it's not fair to him/her to assume that a spoiler warning refers to all books, including books recently released (as recent as the past week). To me, the spoiler warning refers to Strange New Worlds 10.

I have complete confidence that the editors and writers of Trek fiction would be able to find an excellent way to "resurrect" Data (or having him not die at all, which I think it's the better option) if they set to do so.
Also, to be honest, I wouldn't care even if it was the lamest sci-fi resurrection ever: I just want Data back. Besides, the "software" of Data is still alive and well, more or less. We just need the hardware. Right?

So, we know the fate of B-4. Data could always come back via B-4, if down the line, the folks at Pocket wanted it. Doesn't need to contradict Articles or Resistance, and I'm sure that the fine folks at Pocket could come up with a good way to resurrect Data that didn't involve fanwanky technobabble.
KRAD, for the record, I own a copy of Articles, and I enjoyed it. I found it to be slightly too "West Wingy," but I was also getting caught up on TWW via Netflix at the time. Give it another 6 months, and I'll be interested in reading Articles again. I'll have a better bead on how "West Wingy" it is then.

I know that somewhere down the line, somehow, Data will return, even if we never get to see/read/hear the story. This is because Robert T. Jeschonek's Our Million-year mission is one of the best Trek stories ever written (if not the best), and will always be a part of my "personal continuity"

The actor was worried that he can`t play Data much longer because he is aging and Data is not. If Brent Spiner would have been an immortal, I don`t think he would object playing Data also in future.
That problem was never a problem anyway. Data is an android. He could have gotten a completely new skin, meaning Data could even have been played by a woman in future. Putting that extreme aside, Data could have decided to adapt his outer appearance to that of his friends who are aging.
The completely wasteful and annoying death of Data in Nemesis was nearly on the same level as the death of Trip in Enterprise. I hate the movie passionately, for many reasons.
If there will be a good story to bring Data back, I would not complain. I just think it should be more than just upgrading B-4 and digging Data`s memories out. If something like that should ever be planned, I am in favour of merging both personalities to some degrees and a Data should emerge who is not the same as he was but also not a complete stranger.

I see you're reading Vanguard.Brand new interesting TREK characters.The writers of the TNG relaunch should have the same courage and be given the latitude to bring something new to the franchise.
The presense of Worf alone will deter me from buying these relaunch titles.
