What do you think of the planking craze? In case you do not know what planking is, here is a video that explains it

Though plankers are blaming the death on the man being drunk not on the actually planking.

It's good exercise. You have to have a strong core -- abs and lower back -- to plank for more than a few seconds. Our exercise instructor has us plank all the time, and it's killer hard to hold that pose in certain positions.

So I'm all for safe planking.

No stupider than swallowing goldfish, I guess. As for being dangerous, people find all kinds of ways to accidentally kill themselves; there's nothing special about planking.

The craze when everybody was using yoyos

Don't know about the USA but in the late 80s in the UK you could collect Coco Cola, Sprite & Fanta yoyos by collecting ringpulls, there were several different standards of yoyo available and every schoolkid in the country went mad for yoyos for a year or two.

Well, I was a schoolkid in the late 80s, I had no choice!

My generation are all very proficient with yoyos now.

See I was born in '83 and I don't remember yo-yos at all. I do remember those slap bracelet things though. I had a neon pink one that I was very proud of.

I recall the Pogs game, I remember my friend had a set of Space Precinct Pogs.

But I don't remember the bracelet fad, perhaps that passed the UK over. I read on Wiki that it made it cool for guys to wear bracelets, but I am certain no such time existed.
